1. This standard applies to steel lifting closed spiral ropes with one layer of z-shaped and one, two or three layers x-shaped wires. Ropes with diameters from 20 to 38 mm are manufactured with one layer of x-shaped wires (Fig.1), with a diameter of 40 to 46 mm with two layers of x-shaped wires (Fig.2), with a diameter of 50 mm with three layers x-shaped wires (Fig.3).

3. Technical requirements, acceptance rules, test methods, packaging, marking, transportation and storage — by GOST 10505−76.

Example of designation of a rope with a diameter of 30 mm, cargo destination, from wire without coating, of the brand, left lay, spun, normal accuracy, marking the group to rupture strength of 1370 N/mm(140 kgf/mm):
