Technical characteristics
Steel 30X13 is a martensitic class stainless heat-resistant alloy. It is used in the production of lightly loaded parts which work at temperatures up to 450 °C. It contains 12-14% chromium, 0.6% nickel, 0.8% manganese and 0.8% silicon, 0.3% copper, 0.2% titanium- 0.2%, carbon 0.26-0.35%, thousandths of a percent sulfur and phosphorus, with iron in the residue. The density of 7.76 g/cm3. Steel 30X13 heat and corrosion resistant, not prone to temper embrittlement, poorly welded and generally not used for welded structures. Tube of this brand has excellent resistance to atmospheric and soil moisture.

Technological parameters
Pipes production is regulated by the following GOSTs: 30 245-2003, 10 706-76, 10 705-80, 380-94, 13 663-86, 1050-88, 8639-82, 8642-68, 8645-68. Each of the standards stipulates the individual characteristics of the product, for example, pipes with a certain cross-section. The hot rolling temperature is 1180 °C at the beginning and about 900 °C at the end. Pipes are prone to cracking when heated and cooled at an accelerated rate, so step heating and slow cooling in a furnace or in sand are used. For softening heat treatment after hot rolling annealing at about 800 °C with cooling at 30-50 °C/hour is used. Tempering temperature is about 1000 °C with cooling in air or in oil.
Tubes are supplied in various lengths. 4-12 m is measured length, pipe multiple of measured length, the length of which is counted in the measured length range. An allowance of 5 mm is made for each cut, lengthwise deflection of pipes shall not exceed 10 mm on the whole length.
Pipes on the accuracy of production can be increased and normal accuracy. There are the following types of pipes: profiled pipes with a square cross-section, with an oval and rectangular cross-section.
Application
Parts of steam generators, compressors, pumps and cracking units. Bearings, carburetor needles, piston rods of piston compressors, and other parts operating in mildly aggressive environments up to t° 450 °C. This rolling is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, medicine and food industry, shipbuilding.
