1.6 At the customer's request, the manufacturer supplies gallium of grade Ga - 99.9999 with a relative residual resistance value of at least 70,000, gallium of grade Ga - 99.99999 - at least 80,000.
1.7 Gallium must not contain slag or other foreign inclusions. The metal surface must have a uniform metallic luster.
1.8 H-OKP codes for gallium are given in Appendix No. 1.
2. RULES OF ADMISSION AND TEST METHODS
2.1 Gallium is supplied in batches. A batch includes metal of one grade, obtained as a result of one granulation process or one dosed pouring and issued with one quality document containing:
- name of the manufacturer and its trademark;
- name of the material and its brand;
- batch number;
- lot weight;
- results of the analysis;
- date of issue;
- number of these technological conditions;
- Quality control stamp.
The batch weight is not limited.
2.2 To check the chemical composition of gallium, four samples are taken from each batch. The mass of one must be no less than 5 g.
2.3 Sampling
2.3.1 When using metered pouring, a sample of at least 20 g is taken from the top of a randomly selected ingot. The sample is melted, poured into four double polyethylene bags and crystallized in the form of a thin plate. The bags are welded.
2.3.2 When granulating, spot samples are taken from 5-6 points and combined. The total sample is melted, poured into four double polyethylene bags and crystallized in the form of a thin plate. The bags are welded.
2.3.3 Before making bags, polyethylene film according to GOST 10354-82 is wiped with a gauze swab according to GOST 11109-74, moistened with ethyl alcohol according to GOST 5962-67.
2.3.4 A label is placed between the layers of the polyethylene bag indicating:
- product names and brands;
- batch numbers (samples);
- sampling dates;
- sampler's last name or number.
One sample is sent for analysis. The second sample is attached to the batch of metal sent to the consumer. The sample weight is included in the batch weight. A sample accompanies a batch weighing at least 8 kg, a batch weighing less than 8 kg is accompanied by a sample at the consumer's request. The third sample is stored in the quality control department of the manufacturer in case of arbitration analysis, the shelf life
