This material becomes very malleable when heating. That is why foil rolling can be performed much thinner than aluminium. Molybdenum foil has not only high strength but flexible as well. It can easily take any shape. It is resistant to corrosion, to effect of chemical elements, solution of concentrated mineral acids and alkalis. Such foil is heat and hot resistant. At first, there is obtained molybdenum billet with a help of powder metallurgy. Then, billet must be heated and hammered on forging rotary machine to the form of thin sheet. After hot drawing, there is obtained a hot molybdenum foil. After transformation of sheet into foil, rolling can continue at standard temperature. Foil has very smooth surface.
