Advantages
Bronze sheet is non-magnetic. However, it perfectly conducts electrical current and heat. High reliability, durability in combination with its relatively low cost make it popular in many spheres of national economy. It combines plasticity, strength, forgeability, flexibility. It can be easily exposed to machine processing: drilling, cutting, stamping. Such a sheet is resistant to corrosion, to effect of atmospheric moisture, sea water. Highly consistent bronze sheet is made out of grade CuBe2 (it contains 0,2−0,5% of Ni, up to 2% of Be). It is very popular not only because of its strength and elasticity, (which can be further improved by an additional heat treatment), but also for its resistant to corrosion and great weldability.

Manufacture
Depending on assigned technical tasks, it can be manufactured out of various alloys with a help of cold or hot rolling. Utilized grades: aluminium-manganese, beryllium, chromium, silicon-manganese, chromium-zirconium. Sheet surface should be clean and smooth. Minor torns, flaws, roughness that do not lie outside the scope of allowance are permissible.

Marking
By a level of accuracy, it may be standard or extra. By a condition of material, it can be half-hard, soft, hard, extra-hard. It becomes more consistent (on 30−40%) after thermohardening. Bronze sheet is very malleable. It can be manufactured by cold-rolling. Content of major alloying elements is reflected in alloy marking.
Application of bronze sheet
High level of resistance to action of atmospheric moisture made it relevant in manufacture of tabs, signs, signboards. Nowadays, it is indispensable in carrying out design work. It is used for decorative finishing face works, interiors of offices and accommodations. Its excellent electrical conductivity has made it very popular in energetics. It is much-requested in instrument engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, building, in a manufacture of parts that have complex shape by stamping method. It is used for any repair works. It is also much-requested in a telecommunications industry, motor-vehicle and railway engineering, aerospace industry. Sheet is used for a manufacture of generators, details of non-magnetic fitting, equipment, locators.
