1.3. Ovality of the wire in the section (the difference between the largest and smallest diameter of the same cross-section) should not exceed half the tolerance on the diameter.
Example of designation cable tinned wire, high strength, with a diameter of 0,4 mm:
Wire KLV-0,4 GOST 3920−70

2.4. The wire shall withstand the rupture test with the node, wherein the breaking strength of the wire must be at least 50% of the breaking strength of the same wire at the gap with no node.
2.5. The tin coating should be smooth and continuous. On the surface of the wire should not be black, rust, peeling or sagging. Allowed local flows. The magnitude of the influx should not be more than 0.03 mm (measured from the actual diameter of the wire).
2.6. The tin coating should be durable. When coiling wire and six closely adjacent to each other coils on a cylindrical core with a diameter equal to four times the wire diameter, tin coating should not flake and crack.
Allowed the heterogeneity of the surface of the wire by color, subject to compliance with the tests on the quality of the coating.
Customer’s request wire must withstand a winding on a cylindrical core with a diameter equal to the diameter of the wire.
2.5, 2.6. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
2.7. The tin coating must be chemically resistant and withstand two cycles of immersing in the solution of hydrochloric acid and potassium relatoseroticos.
2.8. Wire shall be manufactured in coils and in rolls, consisting of one segment. Winding wire should be the correct separatornyi rows and to permit free spooling of wire from the coils and coils. During the liberation from the bindings of a coil wire not be withdrawn in «eight».
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
2.9. Weight of a coil of wire must conform to the standards given in table.3. Weight of wire on the coil is set by agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer.
Allowed in the party not more than 10% of the skeins of reduced mass.

2A. ACCEPTANCE RULES
2A.1. Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same size, the same strength and must be issued a document about quality that contains:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— designation of wire;
— results of the control tests;
— the number of coils or coils of wire;
the weight of the party;
— the batch number.
2A.2. The appearance and size of check wire on each reel or coil of wire.
2A.3. To check the mechanical properties and quality of the tin coating from the party take 5% skeins or coils, but not less than three skeins or coils.
2A.4. The test weight of the skeins or coils is carried out on 3% skeins or coils.
2A.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-tests on twice the number of coils, the number of not passed tests. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
Sec. 2A. (Added, Rev. N 1).
3. TEST METHODS
3.1. For each type of test must be selected one sample from both ends of each of the selected coils or outer end of the coil.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
3.2. Diameter and ovality of wire measured with a micrometer according to GOST 6507 in two mutually perpendicular directions of the same section.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3.3. Test wire tensile and rupture with the node is carried out according to GOST 10446.
3.4. Test wire torsion is carried out according to GOST 1545.
3.5. The adhesion strength of tin coating with the base metal test according to GOST 10447.
3.6. Chemical resistance tin coating check in chemically pure hydrochloric acid density 1,088 g/cmwith subsequent identification of the naked sites 2.5% strength solution of chemically pure potassium relatoseroticos.
The samples with 150 mm in length cut from a coil or coils with a sharp tool, avoiding buckling and bending wire.
When testing wire, the temperature of the filtered solutions of hydrochloric acid and potassium relatoseroticos should be 15−17 °C.
Before the test, the sample wire to remove dirt and grease washed with gasoline, benzene or ether, and then further distilled water. The washed samples wipe dry with cotton or a clean cloth and immerse in a hydrochloric acid solution for 1 min, then a solution of potassium relatoseroticos for 30 s, and then immediately washed in water. Samples with cotton wipe or clean cloth and the whole cycle repeat dives.
The depth of immersion of samples in solutions of 100 mm.
Samples of wire must be solutions of acid and potassium relatoseroticos stationary, not in contact with each other and with the walls of the vessel.
Wire considered satisfactory if, after two dives on its surface does not appear blue spots or faint blue coloration of the entire surface or entire sections of the blue or dark color.
Allowed blue wire surface at the height of the solution level and at a distance of 20 mm from the immersed in the solution of end of the wire.
The same solution of hydrochloric acid and potassium relatoseroticos with a volume of 200 cmcan be used for continuous testing no more than 100 samples of wire.
