2.3. On the surface of wire should be free of cracks, shells, sunsets, shells.
Allowed marks and scratches with a depth of no more than half of the limit deviations on size and rust.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
2.4. Wire is produced in coils weighing 500−1500 kg. allowed the manufacture of wire in coils weighing 20−100 lbs. Each skein must consist of a single segment wire. The wire should be folded into skeins separatornyi rows.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
2.5. The linear density of the wire shall be as defined in table.3.

The calculated sectional area and theoretical linear density of the wire is given in Annex 2.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 3).
3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same diameter, one decorated by a quality document, which should indicate:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— designation of wire;
— test results;
— number of coils;
— the batch number;
the weight of the party;
— the national quality Mark for wire of the highest quality.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2, 3).
3.2. Size , the size difference and the quality of the wire surface test on each reel.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
3.3. To check the mechanical properties of the wire and parameters of the profile wire of the party should be selected 3% of the skeins, but not less than 5 skeins.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3.4. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators, repeat tests are carried out at twice the sample. The results of re-examination extends to the whole party.
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. For each test taken one sample from one end of the strand.
4.2. The surface quality of the wire is controlled by the naked eye.
4.3. Dimensions and wire measured with a micrometer according to GOST 6507.
The magnitude of difference sizes and is defined as the arithmetic average of three measurements on the section length of 1 m.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 3).
4.4. The settings of the profile wire is determined as the arithmetic average of three measurements on a plot length of 1 m on each side.
The depth of the dent is measured with a micrometer according to GOST 6507 with special heel (Annex 1).
Ridge length is measured by a reading microscope of MPB-2, manufactured according to technical documentation.
The differences in the measurement of profile wire control is carried out at linear density of wire (table.3).
The linear density of the wire is defined as the quotient of mass of two samples of length 1 m, weighed with accuracy to 0.001 kg, their length measured with an accuracy of up to 0.001 M.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 3).
4.5. Test wire tensile is carried out according to GOST 12004.
4.6. Test the wire on the bend is carried out according to GOST 1579. Wire diameter of 3,0 and 4,0 mm is tested on cylinders with a diameter of 20 mm and a diameter of 5.0 mm — for rollers with a diameter of 30 mm.
When testing wire sample is clamped so that the dents were facing the jaws of the device.
4.5, 4.6. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
4.7. The depth of scratches or surface marks determined by removing them cleaning up with further comparative dimension to the stripped and unstripped areas.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 3).
5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
5.1. Each skein weighing 500−1500 kg should be evenly bandaged around the circumference of no less than four places, and a coil mass 20−100 kg — not less than three places.
