General characteristics
This alloy relates to group of Ti-Al-Zr-Mo-Nb-Si alloys. It belongs to a category of high α-pseudo alloys. It is alloyed with aluminium, niobium, zirconium, molybdenum. This provides high level of creep resistance, high durable strength in a temperature range of 550 — 600 ° C. It should be noted that this alloy is one of the most heat-resistant titanium alloys. However, during pressure treatment, its plastic properties and workability are much lower than, for example, in gost OT4.

This alloy serves for a manufacture of high-quality flat products. An optimal combination of properties is achieved by annealing at a temperature of 900 — 950 °C. Then it should be held from one to four hours and cooled in air. There is possible double annealing at a temperature of 900 — 980 °C within 1 — 4 hours or at a temperature of 550 — 680 °C within 2 — 8 hours. This increases rupture resistance up to 770 MPa vs standard 670 MPa.
Application
Alloy of this grade is required for parts that work long-term (up to 500 hours) in a temperature range of 550 — 600 °C. It is also used for a manufacture of reconditioned parts. In this case, a temperature can reach 800 °C.
