Technical characteristics

Modern metallurgic industry is engaged in manufacturing the following mill products out of alloy Ni36;

hot-rolled plate
hot-rolled rod
cold-rolled strip
seamless tube
beaten rod etc.

This type of precision alloys has a defined LCTE and contains in its composition the basis of iron (63−64,5%) and nickel (35−37%). The alloy has a small linear coefficient of thermal expansion (- 1,5x10−6 1/°С temperature is -80 + 100°C). It defines its usage in manufacturing details of checking and measuring instruments. These tools work at marginal climatic temperature gradients, keeping a fixed dimension at this temperature range. It is alloyed with silicon, cuprum, mangan, aluminium, molybdenum and vanadium. Ni36 is obtained by method of vacuum induction melting. This steel is often used with an effective layer of other alloys (20NG, 75GND, 19NKH, 24NKH). As a result, there appear thermostatic bimetals of different grades.

Thanks to technological and exploiting properties, a material of this grade is widely used in modern industry. With an appearance of materials of a new generation, there has become a possibility to improve many technological processes and to provide a long-term and reliable work of a whole complex of equipment in a wide temperature range. Unique features of a material are conditioned by its balanced composition and special technology process.
