The surface condition is checked without the use of magnifying devices. In doubtful cases, it is allowed to use a magnifying glass of five times magnification and brighten the surface with sandpaper.

4.3. The depth of the defect is determined by removing it by stripping and measuring the diameter of the wire at the point of stripping.

4.4. To check the ultimate tensile strength, elongation, decarburization, microstructure, as well as sediment, take 5% of coils, but not less than three coils from each batch.

For each type of test, samples should be taken from both ends of each controlled coil.

4.5. Checking the microstructure is carried out on etched cross sections of the wire under a microscope.

4.6. The chemical composition of the steel is certified by the certificate of the metal manufacturer.

4.7. Wire tensile testing to determine the ultimate tensile strength and elongation is performed in accordance with GOST 10446−63 (80) (5). In this case, the calculated length of a wire sample up to 5.0 mm is taken equal to 50 mm, for a wire with a diameter over 5.0 mm — 10d.

4.8. The depth of the decarburized layer is determined according to GOST 1763−68 .

4.9. Draft test is carried out in accordance with GOST 8817−73

4.10. In the event of unsatisfactory results of any test from among those provided for by these specifications, repeated tests are allowed on a double number of samples taken from the same skeins. The repeated procedure is carried out only for those types of tests for which unsatisfactory results were obtained.

In case of unsatisfactory results of retesting at least one sample, the batch is rejected or each skein is taken separately.

5.1. Coils of one steel grade, one melt, one diameter, one surface finish group of the same manufacturing accuracy can be tied into coils. The mass of such a coil-coil should not exceed 100 kg.

5.2. Each skein should be tied evenly in at least three places.

5.3. Coils-coils of wire should be lubricated with a lubricant that protects against corrosion, and packed in a plastic film (without a paper underlayer) or container cloth (or matting) with a pre-wrap, oiled or waxed paper.

5.4. A tag must be firmly attached to each skein (s) ( coil )), which must indicate:

  • a) conventional sign of the manufacturer;
  • b) conventional designation of the wire;
  • c) heat number.

5.5. Each batch of wire must be accompanied by a certificate attesting that the quality of the wire meets the requirements of these technical specifications.

5.6. The wire should be stored and transported under conditions that ensure its safety from corrosion and mechanical damage.

Amendment No. 1 supplemented technical specifications TU 14−4-385−73 with wire sizes 1, 0−2, 8 mm.

The method for calculating wholesale prices for newly added sizes without intermediate grinding is similar to the method for calculating wholesale prices in accordance with the appendix to TU 14−4-385−73.

The wholesale price for the added dimensions of the wire of the group «D» is determined by the ratio of the price ratio of the wire of a given diameter and diameter of 2.5−2.99 mm of the corresponding brand according to the basic specifications (No. 01−05, p. 143), ie by multiplication the specified coefficient for the wholesale price of wire with a diameter of 2.5−2.99 mm of the corresponding brand as per the appendix to TU 14−4-385−73.

The wholesale price of 1 ton of wire made of steel grade 16ХСН without intermediate grinding will be equal to:

For normal manufacturing accuracy For increased manufacturing precision

For wire Ø 1.0−1.49 mm

Tsn = 774 rubles. x 1.17 = 906 rubles.

Tsn = 774 rubles. x 1.21 = 936 rubles.

For wire Ø 1.5−1.99 mm

Tsn = 623 rubles. x 1.17 = 729 rubles.

Tsn = 623 rubles. x 1.21 = 754 rubles.

For wire Ø 2.0−2.49 mm

Tsn = 521 rubles. x 1.17 = 610 rubles.

Tsn = 521 rubles. x 1.21 = 630 rubles.

For wire Ø 2.5−2.99 mm

Tsn = 473 rubles. x 1.17 = 553 rubles.

Tsn = 473 rubles. x 1.21 = 572 rubles.
