Ferritic stainless steel grade 08X13 is used in power engineering, metallurgy for parts of boilers, burners, shields and other parts that can operate at temperatures up to 750-800 ° C. Alloy 08Cr13 (EI496) is used to produce pipe, wire, round, sheet, flange, foil. The alloy contains carbon up to 0,08%, silicon and manganese up to 0,8%, chromium 12-14%, nickel up to 0,6%, sulfur up to 0,025%, phosphorus up to 0,03% and the rest is iron.

Steel is melted in open arc electric furnaces. This steel is annealed at 649-760°C (1200-1400°F) and then cooled in air. Alloy 410S can be welded by conventional welding methods. The billet is preheated to 177-204°C (350-400°F) to prevent cracking.
