The hardness of strips supplied without heat treatment is not regulated.

1.2.3. The surface of the strips must be free of contamination that hinders inspection. Local pinholes, scratches and roughness are allowed on the surface of the strips, which do not take the strips beyond the maximum thickness deviations during control cleaning. Temper colours, local darkening and traces of unburnt grease after heat treatment are allowed.

Waviness is allowed, but it disappears when the strip is bent.

1.2.4. The strips must be cut or rolled evenly. No oblique cut is allowed that would take the strips beyond the maximum deviations in width and length. The strips must not have significant burrs. Edge wrapping is not allowed.

1.3. Marking.

1.3.1. At the end of each strip or at the outer end of the roll, the following must be applied with BT-577 GOST 5631-79 varnish or on a firmly attached paper label:

- trademark or trademark and name of the manufacturer,

- conventional designation of products,

- batch number,

- quality control stamp.

1.3.2. Transport marking according to GOST 14192-77 with the application of the handling sign "Afraid of dampness".

1.4. Packaging.

1.4.1. The strips must be packed in packs. The weight of a pack must not exceed 80 kg.

The pack is tied in at least two places or crosswise with tape.

with a size of at least 0.3x20 mm according to GOST 3560-73 or wire with a thickness of at least 2 mm according to GOST 3282-74. The ends of the strapping tape are fastened with a lock, the wires - with a twist of at least five turns.

1.4.2. Rolls of strips must be tied around the circumference and in two places across with wire in accordance with GOST 3282-74 or tape in accordance with GOST 3560-73.

1.4.3. Consolidation of cargo spaces into transport packages is carried out in accordance with GOST 21929-76 and GOST 24597-81. Overall dimensions of packages in accordance with GOST 23238-78.

The weight of packages must not exceed 1250 kg.

The packages are formed on pallets according to GOST 9557-73 or without a pallet using wooden blocks measuring 50x50 mm and the length corresponding to the length or width of the cargo space, with strapping in the longitudinal and transverse directions in three turns with wire of at least 3 mm in diameter according to GOST 3282-74 or tape of at least 0.5x20 mm in size according to GOST 3560-73. The ends of the strapping wire are fastened by twisting at least five turns, with tape - in a lock.

2. ACCEPTANCE RULES

2.1. Strips are accepted in batches weighing no more than 20,000 kg.

The batch must consist of strips of the same size, the same manufacturing method, the same material condition and be issued with one quality document containing:

- trademark or trademark and name of the manufacturer,

- conventional designation of products,

- batch number,

- net lot,

Each party strip.

One strip from which one sample is taken.

Selection and preparation of samples according to GOST 24231-80.

At the manufacturing plant, samples are taken from the molten metal of each heat.

Three strips per batch. One sample is taken from each selected strip.

Two strips per batch. One sample is taken from each selected strip.

Two stripes from the party.

2.3. If unsatisfactory control results are obtained for at least one indicator, a repeat test is carried out on a double number of samples taken from the same batch.

The results of the retest are final and apply to the entire batch.

3. CONTROL METHODS

3.1. Quality control of the surface of the strips must be carried out without the use of magnifying devices.

3.2. The thickness of the strips must be measured with a micrometer in accordance with GOST 6507-78 at a distance of at least 100 mm from the corner apex and at least 10 mm from the edge at three points. Both ends of the strip and the middle part are subject to measurement, one measurement on each section.

The width of the strips should be measured using a measuring ruler in accordance with GOST 427-75 or a caliper in accordance with GOST 166-80.
