1 Technical requirements

1.1 Conversion pipes must comply with the requirements of these technical conditions.

1.2 Conversion pipes must be manufactured from pipe blanks supplied according to technical specifications 14-1-3820, made of 12X12M1BFR (EP450) grade steel of electroslag remelting (Ш).

1.3 The dimensions of the conversion pipes and the maximum deviations in the outer diameter and wall thickness must correspond to those specified in Table 1.

Table 1 In millimeters

Pipe size O.D Wall thickness
133 x 14 133 ± 1.33 14 ± 1.4
95 x 11 95 ± 0.95 11 ± 1.1

1.4 According to the length of the pipe, the conversion parts must be manufactured in multiples of the measured length with an allowance for each cut of 5 mm and with a maximum deviation along the entire length of + 15 mm.

The multiplicity of the conversion pipes is specified when ordering.

1.5 The tolerance of the straightness of the generating surface of the processing pipes on any section of the pipe with a length of 1 m must be no more than 1.5 mm.

1.6 The chemical composition (mass fraction of elements) of the steel of the processing pipes and the content of non-metallic inclusions must comply with the standards specified in technical specifications 14-1-3820.

1.7 The roughness parameter Ra according to GOST 2789 of the outer and inner surfaces of processing pipes must be no more than 3.2 µm.

1.8 Conversion pipes must be heat treated (quenching + tempering) according to the manufacturing plant's conditions.

1.9 Mechanical properties of conversion pipes during tensile testing at

°C must comply with the requirements of technical specification 14-1-3820.

1.10 Conversion tubes must be subjected to ultrasonic testing (UT) for metal continuity and the presence of defects on the outer and inner surfaces. No defects are allowed on the outer and inner surfaces and in the wall thickness of conversion tubes that exceed the equivalent reflectivity of artificial defects (AD) on the enterprise standard samples (ESS), namely, the reflected ultrasonic signal from defects must not exceed the amplitude of the ultrasonic signal from the ED SES.

1.10.1 A triangular mark with a depth of (5 ± 10)% of the wall thickness of the feedstock pipes should be used as the ID for setting up the ultrasonic testing equipment. Pipes that have not passed the ultrasonic testing with a mark with a depth of (5 ± 10)% are tested using a triangular mark with a depth of (10 ± 10)% of the wall thickness of the feedstock pipes.

1.11 For each batch of processing pipes, a quality document (passport, certificate), hereinafter referred to as a quality document, is issued, certifying the compliance of the quality of the pipes with the requirements of these technical conditions.

1.12 Other requirements according to GOST 9940.

2 Acceptance rules

2.1 Control and acceptance of conversion pipes is carried out by the quality control department (QCD) of the manufacturer. Control and acceptance of conversion pipes are carried out in accordance with the requirements of these technical conditions and the technological process for the manufacture of conversion pipes.

2.2 Conversion pipes are accepted in batches. A batch must consist of pipes of the same steel grade, the same heat, the same mode and method of heat treatment and be accompanied by one quality document.

2.3 Control of chemical composition and contamination with non-metallic inclusions of steel pipes - continuous, according to the quality document for the pipe blank. Data on the chemical composition and contamination with non-metallic inclusions of steel pipes are transferred from the quality document for the pipe blank to the quality document for the pipe pipes. A copy of the quality document for the pipe blank is attached to the quality document for the pipe pipes.

2.4 Control of dimensions, straightness tolerance, heat treatment modes, ultrasonic inspection of continuity and the presence of defects on the outer and inner surfaces - 100%.

2.5 Control of mechanical properties at a temperature of °C and surface roughness is carried out on 3% of the pipes from the batch, but not less than three pipes.

2.6 Control under item 2.5 is carried out on samples. One sample is cut from each selected conversion pipe for each type of control.

2.7 If unsatisfactory results are obtained from any of the types of testing according to clause 2.5, at least on one conversion pipe (one sample) of this type, a repeat test is carried out on twice the number of conversion pipes of the same batch that were not subjected to testing.

If the results of the repeated inspection are satisfactory (all the pipes passed the inspection), they are extended to the entire batch.

If unsatisfactory results are obtained from repeated testing on at least one conversion pipe (one sample), the batch is subjected to continuous testing for this type of testing.

2.8 Conversion pipes that fail the tests during selective and continuous inspection are rejected.

2.9 Based on the results of control and testing of the conversion pipes, a quality document is issued, which must contain:

- name of the manufacturer;

- conventional designation of conversion pipes according to these technical conditions;

- batch number and steel melt number;

- quantity of conversion pipes (in pieces, meters and, at the customer's request, in kilograms);

- results of all types of control;

- chemical composition of steel;

- a copy of the quality document for the pipe blank;

- conclusion on the compliance of the processing pipes with the requirements of these technical conditions.

2.9.1 The quality document must be signed by the head of the Quality Control Department.

3 Control methods

3.1 The outer diameter is checked using a universal measuring instrument with a measurement error of no more than ± 0.05 mm at the ends of the conversion pipe and then along the entire length of the pipe with a step of no more than 500 mm in two mutually perpendicular planes.

3.2 The wall thickness is checked using a universal measuring instrument with a measurement error of no more than ± 0.05 mm at a distance of at least 5 mm from the ends at four points evenly spaced around the circumference of the cross-section of the feed pipe.

3.3 The length of the conversion pipes is controlled using a tape measure of accuracy class 3 GOST 7502.

3.4 The tolerance of straightness of the generating surface of the conversion pipes is controlled by a verification ruler of the ШД type, 2nd accuracy class GOST 8026 and a feeler gauge according to the documentation of the manufacturer. The measurement method is according to GOST 26877.

3.5 Control of roughness and heat treatment modes of processing pipes is carried out according to the technological instructions of the manufacturer.

3.6 Ultrasonic testing of metal continuity and the presence of defects on the outer and inner surfaces of processing pipes is carried out according to the technological instructions of the manufacturer, corresponding to GOST 17410.

3.7 Control of the chemical composition of steel in production pipes and contamination of production pipe material with non-metallic inclusions - documentary, according to the quality document for the pipe blank.

3.8 Tensile tests at a temperature of °C are carried out in accordance with the requirements of GOST 10006.

3.9 Other control methods according to GOST 9940.
