3. The standards and specifications for specific types of wire for nominal diameters are set depending on the required accuracy rounded to the first or second decimal place of numeric values table.1. Rounding rules — according to ST SEV 543−77.
4. At the request of the consumer shall be allowed in the standards and specifications for wire for knurling and threading, cold heading and other purposes, to establish the nominal diameters not specified in table.1.
5. Limit deviations of nominal diameter wire depending on the tolerance and precision of manufacture must meet the table.2 and 3.

6. The standards and specifications for specific types of wire permitted rounding the values of the limit deviations to hundredths of a millimeter.
1−6. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
7. The roundness of the wire must not exceed half the tolerance on the diameter. Standards and specifications for wire General purpose high ovality is allowed provided that it does not display the wire for the limit deviation for diameter.
8. Maximum deviations in the standards and specifications for specific types of wire can be specified numerical values in the table.2 and 3 and a designation which includes tolerance (or ) and kvalitet.
The negative maximum deviations are indicated by 3, 4, …, 12 double-sided 5, 6, …, 12.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
