Technical characteristics
Actual steel is a nickel-chrome-cobalt alloy with aluminium and titanium additives. An alloying produces a multidimensional effect on the steels quality. Chrome increases hardness, a corrosive resistance; cobalt raises a heat-resistance, a magnetic permeability, a strength, a resistance to corrosion at high temperatures. Titanium increases stability, a resistance to impact loads, to a corrosion; aluminium raises a resistance to a scale formation; an alloyed steel falls into 3 categories: 1) constructive, 2) toolroom, 3) high quality with special physical and chemical properties. Nimonic 90 relates to the last category.
