1.2 Bars and strips must comply with the following standards:
a) hot-rolled — GOST 2590−71, GOST 2591−71, GOST 4405- 48 75 (2);
b) forged — GOST 1133−74, GOST 4405- 48 75 (1);

NOTE:
1. For forged round bars with a diameter over 200 to 250 mm, a deviation in diameter plus 10 mm is allowed.
2. Hot-rolled square rods of 100 mm and less in accordance with GOST 2591−71 are allowed to be supplied with blunt corners. The bluntness of the corners should not exceed 0.15 of the side of the square.

Bars and strips are supplied according to the specialization of the supplying plant.

2. Technical requirements.

2.1. The chemical composition of the steel must meet the requirements of table. 1.

NOTE: The following deviations from the established norms of chemical composition are allowed:
  • carbon ± 0.01%;
  • for chromium ± 0.2%;
  • nickel ± 0.1%.

2.2. The metal is supplied in a heat treated state with hardness by diameter of HB indentation not less than 3.5 mm (not more than НВ302 (indentation diameter not less than НВ 3.5 m (3).

2.3. The mechanical properties of steel, determined on longitudinal heat-treated samples, should not meet the requirements of table. # 2

Note: The finished specimen is heat treated with an allowance for grinding.

2.4. In the macrostructure of steel when checking on transverse etched templates, there should be no traces of a shrinkage cavity, bubbles, cracks, slag inclusions visible without the use of magnifying devices… (The macrostructure of steel must comply with GOST 5949−75) (2).

2.5. Contamination of steel with oxides, sulfides and silicates should not exceed 2.0 points for each type of inclusions, nitrides — 3 points.
Section 2. Supplement with clause 2.7. (2)
«2.7. The supplier plant guarantees the quality of the metal by the hair lines when checking finished parts at the consumer in accordance with the requirements of GOST 5949−75. «

3.1. General rules for acceptance, test methods, labeling, packaging and documentation in accordance with GOST 5949- 61 75 (1).

3.2. The control of the macrostructure is carried out in accordance with GOST 10243−68 75 (2) on transverse templates cut off from the bars corresponding to the head of the ingot.

Control of the macrostructure of rods up to 100 mm in size is carried out in a full section, and of rods over 100 mm in size — on samples reforged to 90−100 mm.

3.3. The contamination of steel with non-metallic inclusions is determined according to GOST 1778−70 by the method Ш option Ш1 or Ш4.

3.4. Determination of mechanical properties and non-metallic inclusions is carried out on samples cut from blanks with a diameter of 90−100 mm.

For rods less than 90 mm in size, the determination of mechanical properties and non-metallic inclusions is made in the finished grade.

3.5. It is allowed to check the macrostructure, mechanical properties and non-metallic inclusions and intermediate blanks and extend the results of the check to smaller profiles.

At the same time, the manufacturer guarantees the properties of the steel of the finished profiles in accordance with the requirements of these technical specifications.

3.6. The indication of the profile size in the marking sign is optional.

3.7. The steel is marked with 2X17N2B-Sh.

3.8. Electroslag smelting refers to the metal smelted in one initial smelting, in installations of the same type in crystallizers of the same standard size.

8. Section 3 shall be supplemented with clauses 3.9 and 3.10:

«3.9. Impact testing is performed on type 1 specimens.

3.10. Transportation and storage of metal products — in accordance with GOST 7566−81 «.

9. Section 4 shall be deleted.

10. To add technical conditions with a note in edition:

«Note: Wholesale prices are approved by the USSR State Committee for the Acceptance of Metal Products in the corresponding price lists.»

11. Clause 2.3. GOST 10243−62 to replace GOST 10243−75.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
to the draft specifications for hardener No. 1

This draft of technical specifications was developed in accordance with the plan for revision of technical specifications for 1971, instead of TU №NU-470−56.

This draft specification provides for the discharge of hardener No. 1 into a bottle with plastic caps and gaskets.

There are positive conclusions from consumers for containers for packing hardener No. 1 with this type of lids and gaskets.

In terms of its structure, presentation, design, this draft technical specification meets the requirements of GOST 2.114−70.
