This standard applies to steel wire square, rectangular and trapezoidal cross-sections for the manufacture of spring washers.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 4).
1. TYPES AND BASIC DIMENSIONS
1.1. The wire should be made:
annealed — O;
cold.
Hard drawn wire is manufactured with a size of not more than 5 mm.
For precision manufacturing:
normal
high — P;
mechanical properties of two classes: 1, 2.
(Added, Rev. N 3, 4).
1. ASSORTMENT
1.1. Dimensions and limit deviations of wire of square section should match those in hell.1 and in table.1, wire of rectangular cross section — on features.2 and in table.2, wire trapezoidal — on features.3 and in table.3.
By agreement between manufacturer and consumer wire is manufactured with symmetric marginal deviations in size, equal to the sum of the absolute values of the limit deviations, given in table.1, 2, 3.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Wire apply to the acceptance of the parties. The party should consist of wire of one size, one grade of steel and one form of heat treatment, the same precision of manufacture of the same class and must be issued a document about quality that contains:
trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;
symbol wire;
the results of the tests;
the weight of the party;
the number of packages;
batch number.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 3, 4).
3.2. Verification of dimensions (, ) and visual inspection should be subjected to each coil (coil) of the party.
To check the radius of the corners of the profile and the angle between the main and the sides of the trapezoid of the party take 5% skeins (coils), but not less than three coils (coils).
The radius of curvature of the corners of the profile and the angle between the base and sides of a trapezoid is allowed to check if these sizes are provided by the manufacture technology of wire.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 5).
3.3. (Deleted, Rev. N 2).
3.4. From the wire, adopted in size and appearance, select 5% of the skeins (coils), but not less than three coils, to test a temporary resistance, relative elongation, and decarburization tests wrapped.
3.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-tests on twice the number of samples taken from coils (coils) of the same batch of numbers being tested.
The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
3.4; 3.5. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. Inspection of the surface of the wire produce the naked eye. Allowed to use the magnifying glass with a 5−8-fold increase.
4.2. The size and profile wire check of the measuring tool with accuracy to 0.01 mm or templates. The angles between the base and the sides of the trapezoid test limit templates. The differences in the assessment of the quality profile wire check for Templeton under the projector or tool microscope.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
4.3. The depth of the defect on the surface of the wire is determined by zapilovku or Stripping. Allowed the depth and nature of the defect determine microsclerotia.
4.3. To check the temporary tear resistance, elongation, decarburization and tests from each selected winding of a coil or coils take one sample.
(Added, Rev. N 2).
4.4. Wire tensile experiencing GOST 10446.
Gauge length of the specimen for determining elongation must be equal to 11.3.
4.5. The depth of decarburization is determined according to GOST 1763.
4.6. The wire on the winding experiencing GOST 10447. Wire rectangular and trapezoidal cross-section is wound around the smaller side of the profile.
4.7. According to customer’s demands chemical composition of a wire from steel 65G and 70 is determined according to GOST 22536.0 to GOST 22536.5, 22536.7 GOST-GOST 22536.9.
