3A. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3A.1. Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire made of the same steel grade, same diameter, same class, and must be issued a document about quality that contains:
trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;
symbol wire;
the results of the tests;
the number of coils;
the net mass;
batch number.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3A.2. The diameter and surface quality of the wire is checked for each reel.
3A.3. For testing temporary resistance, nabivanija, twisting from party wire selected 10% of the coils, but not less than three skeins of the party; to control the yield point is taken 5% of the skeins, but not less than three skeins.
Control of roughness of wire manufacturer conducts periodic, but not less than once per quarter. In this case select 5% of the skeins, but not less than three skeins of the party that passed acceptance tests.
3A.4. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators, a second test on this indicator at twice the number of skeins. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
If unsatisfactory results of the periodic tests tests translate into acceptance.
3A.3, 3A.4. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3. TEST METHODS
3.1. For each test taken on the same sample of wire with the two ends of a coil.

3.3. An external inspection is carried out visually without the use of magnifying devices.
3.4. Test wire tensile is carried out according to GOST 10446−80.
3.5. The test of wire on the winding is carried out according to GOST 10447−93.
3.6. Torsion testing two next to stacked samples is carried out according to GOST 1545−80на samples with a calculated length equal to 100. To twist the samples applied pre-tension force which should not exceed 2% of the total nominal breaking strength. Both samples are uniformly twisted along a helical line with a speed of not more than 60 rpm.
Test proslaivaet when twisting is carried out before the complete destruction of the sample. The torsion undergoes a single wire specimen.
Examination of the fractures produced without the use of magnifying devices.
3.7. The surface roughness of the wire is checked by profiling the profilers or other devices to control the roughness of the wire according to the method given in the Appendix.
3.8. Apparent yield stress is determined graphically by the tension diagram obtained in a tensile testing machine. Processing and calculation engine charts is carried out by the method of determination of the conditional yield strength in accordance with GOST 1497−84.
3.6−3.8. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3.9. In determining the equilibrium of the piece of wire is placed freely on the plane and if the wire forms a ring, measure the diameter of the formed ring metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.
3.10. The weighing of packages of the party, and, if necessary, coils carried in the balance, ensure the weighing accuracy of 1%.
3.9, 3.10. (Added, Rev. N 2).

APP (mandatory). METHOD OF PERFORMING CONTROL OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS OF THE STEEL WIRE STRING
APP
Mandatory
Method sets the execution order of the roughness of the steel piano wire.
1. METHOD SAMPLE SELECTION AND PREPARATION
For roughness control are selected samples with a length of 50 to 70 mm. Specimens should be straightforward. The sample surface needs to be cleaned. Surface cleaning is carried out:
degreasing in hot trichlorethane at a temperature of 60−70 °C for 3−5 min;
degreasing cotton swab dipped in methyl alcohol;
washing in hot running water for 1−2 min.
2. CONTROL
2.1. Measurement of roughness of the wire surface is carried out in the longitudinal direction (see drawing).
Drawing
2.2. Controlled the wire specimen is fixed in the fixture so that the surface to be measured was parallel to the plane of measurement and the sensor.
2.3. After mounting the sample hold five times the dimension of the roughness parameter .
3. PROCESSING OF INSPECTION RESULTS
3.1. The results of the values of the roughness parameter of the controlled samples in the magazine and make a document about the quality with the number selected for control coils.
3.2. For the measurement of the roughness parameter taking the arithmetic average of results of five measurements.
