These technical conditions apply to forgings made of heat-resistant steels and alloys obtained by open smelting, vacuum arc or electroslag remelting, manufactured by open forging on presses from iron-nickel alloy grade 08KhN35VTYu-VD (EI787-VD).

1. Assortment

1.1 Forgings are supplied in the form of round cross-section bars.

Forgings are supplied in accordance with the press range.

Round bars are supplied with diameters of 180-400 mm.

1.2 Rods measuring 180-300 mm are supplied with maximum cross-sectional deviations of +(-) 10 mm, over 300 mm +(-) 15 mm.

The rods are supplied in lengths not shorter than 600 mm.

1.2.1 By agreement of the parties, round section bars are supplied after mechanical processing (stripping). In this case, the maximum deviations in section are +(-) 3.0 mm.

1.3 The mass and dimensions of the washers, maximum deviations and allowances for their dimensions are accepted within the range of the press and are stipulated in the specification agreed upon between the plants - suppliers and consumers.

Washers are supplied without sphericity control.

2 Technical requirements

2.1 The chemical composition of the alloy grade 08KhN35VTYu-VD (EI787-VD) must comply with the requirements of Table 1.

2.2 Forgings are supplied without heat treatment.

2.3 Mechanical properties, hardness and long-term strength are tested on samples cut from heat-treated blanks using one of the modes given in Table 2. Mechanical properties and long-term strength must comply with the requirements of Tables 3 and 4.

Note - the heat treatment option and test mode for heat treatment option 1 are specified in the order. If the heat treatment option and test mode are not specified, the supplier is allowed to use any heat treatment option and test mode.

2.4 The macrostructure of forgings must be free of voids, holes, cracks, delaminations and coarse pores and slag inclusions visible to the naked eye.

100% of forgings are subjected to ultrasonic testing.

2.5 There should be no cracks, folds, or films on the surface of forgings. The said defects should be removed by gentle grinding. The depth of grinding of defects should not exceed the maximum deviation in size, calculated from the nominal value.

Small hairlines, scratches, dents, and ripples within the one-sided tolerance are allowed without cleaning.

The ratio of the depth of the cut to its width should be at least 1:6.

3.7.2 The quality document must be signed by the quality control department of the manufacturer and a technical acceptance representative of RT-Tekhpriemka JSC or another authorized organization.
