Bronze alloy CuSn5ZnPb5
Identification: CuSn5Zn5Pb5
Grade: casting tin bronze. It has duplex structure. It is alloyed with phosphorus, plumb, zinc.
Industrial usage: bearing bushes, antifriction details, fitting.

Alloying components increase density, fluidity of material and significantly reduce tendency to segregation. Bronze of this grade is badly exposed to pressure treatment. However, it possesses good resistance to corrosion, excellent cutability. This bronze has excellent antifriction properties. It is used in a manufacture of sleeve bearing blocks. Shims, bushings for tractors and cars are made of this grade.

Casting temperature = 1250 — 1300°C

In comparison with a pressing method, casting of bar assumes high strength, perfect physical properties. Such alloy has a vast scope of application. Cracks, surface blemishes, over prominence must not be present on a metal surface. However, there are acceptable markings made by withdrawal-roll facility. Bushing is made with a help of centrifugal casting and further machine processing. Bushing has high strength even at increased loads and rough working conditions. Pipes made of this alloy are very popular because they are resistant to corrosion.
