This alloy relates to a group of precision alloys with a defined TCLE (linear expansion thermal coefficient in a range of temperatures -70º +340ºC, not higher than 4.5 — 5.5x10-6/C°) and is used in electrovacuum equipment. Invar is a precision alloy that possesses unique physical, mechanical characteristics (magnetic, elastic, heating, electrical). It differs with a high accuracy of chemical composition, carefulness of manufacture, processability, an absence of residual elements. An actual category relates to high-alloyed alloys. Such precision alloys are manufactured on a basis of iron, nickel, copper, mangan, cobalt. The marking Ni42 means that alloy contains about 42% of nickel.
