Notes: 1. Plates with a thickness of 55 mm and more are manufactured as castings. 2. By agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, it is permitted to manufacture plates and cylindrical blanks with other dimensions and maximum deviations specified in the work order.
1.1.2. The dimensions of cast cylindrical blanks and their maximum deviations must comply with the requirements specified in Table 2.
mm Table 2
Diameter | Maximum deviations in diameter | Length |
1 | 2 | 3 |
100 120 125 145 200 |
±5 | 50-2200 120-900 - " - - " - 50-1500 |
1.2. Plates and cylindrical blanks are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of these technical conditions according to the technological regulations approved in the established manner.
1.3. The chemical composition of slabs and cylindrical blanks made of BrNBT bronze must correspond to that specified in Table 3.
Main components | Impurities, no more than | |||||||
Beryllium | Nickel | Titanium | Copper | Lead | Tin | Zinc | Aluminum | Total |
0.2-0.4 | 1.4-1.8 | 0.005-0.15 | Rest | 0.005 | 0,1 | 0.2 | 0.15 | 0.7 |
1.4. Minor defects in the form of scratches, dents, pores, films and cracks, as well as deviations from the plane within the circumference corresponding to the roller diameter, which can be removed by turning to the nominal size of the electric rollers, are allowed on the surface of the plates and cylindrical blanks. It is allowed to check the surface quality of the plates and cylindrical blanks using standard samples agreed upon between the manufacturer and the consumer in the established manner.
1.5. Cast plates and cylindrical blanks are supplied without thermomechanical treatment.

1.6. Hot rolled plates are supplied heat treated and straightened.
1.7. The hardness of hot-rolled plates must be at least 170 HB.
2. ACCEPTANCE RULES
2.1. Plates and cylindrical blanks are accepted in batches. A batch must consist of plates or cylindrical blanks of the same size and condition. The mass of a batch must not exceed 1000 kg.
2.2. To determine the chemical composition, 3 samples are taken from the batch. The manufacturer takes samples from the molten metal of each heat.
2.3. Each plate and cylindrical workpiece is subject to quality control according to paragraphs 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.4.
2.4. To determine the hardness of hot-rolled plates, two plates are selected from a batch.
2.5. If unsatisfactory control results are obtained for at least one of the indicators, repeat tests are carried out on a double sample.
The results of the retests apply to the entire batch.
3. CONTROL METHODS
3.1. To determine whether the quality of slabs and cylindrical blanks meets the requirements of these technical conditions, the control methods specified below must be used.
3.2. Surface quality control according to paragraph 1.4 is carried out visually.
3.3. Quality control of slabs and cylindrical blanks according to paragraphs 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 is carried out using a caliper in accordance with GOST 166-80, a metal ruler in accordance with GOST 427-75 and a tape measure in accordance with GOST 7502-80.
The thickness of the slabs is measured at a distance of at least 100 mm from the end and at least 10 mm from the edge.
The measurement of the geometric dimensions of slabs with a thickness of 14 to 55 mm is carried out without taking into account uneven ends formed due to uneven metal drawing across the width of the strip during rolling.
It is permissible to determine the dimensions of slabs and cylindrical blanks using other measuring instruments that provide

the necessary precision.
3.4. Analysis of chemical composition is carried out according to GOST 20068.1-79 - GOST 20068.2-79.
If disagreements arise in the assessment of the chemical composition, the analysis is carried out in accordance with GOST 15027.5-77, GOST 15027.13-77, GOST 15027.14-77.
Sampling for determination of chemical composition is carried out in accordance with GOST 24231-80.
3.5. The hardness of hot-rolled plates is determined according to GOST 9012-59 on heat-treated plates with a ball of 10 mm in diameter with a test load of 3 tons and a duration of 20 ±5 sec: quenching from a temperature of 900-950 °C in water, holding time for quenching is 2 hours; tempering at a temperature of 400-450 °C, holding for 2-3 hours, cooling in air.
3.6. The batch weight control is carried out on scales with a weighing limit of up to 1000 kg in accordance with GOST 23676-79 with an acceptable measurement error of ±1%.
4. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
4.1. Plates and cylindrical blanks are supplied without packaging.
4.2. Each plate and cylindrical blank must be marked with stamp paint:
- trademark or name of the manufacturer;
- quality control stamp.
4.3. Each batch of slabs or cylindrical blanks must be provided with a quality document containing:
- trademark or name of the manufacturer;
- conventional designation of plates or cylindrical blanks;
