These technical conditions apply to the supply of forged and hot-rolled rods made of heat-resistant alloy grade EP747 (KhN45U), intended for the manufacture of tubular rollers.
1. ASSORTMENT
1.1. The rods are supplied with a diameter of 8.0-100 mm. The shape, dimensions and permissible deviations of the rods must correspond to:
a) hot rolled rods Ø 8.0-38.0 mm
Permissible deviations in diameter according to GOST 2590-71 taking into account note 2 of table 1
b) Forged rods Ø 40-100 mm
Permissible deviations in diameter according to GOST 1133-71, in addition to the positive tolerance, a negative tolerance is introduced, equal in value to that specified in GOST 1133-71.
The length of the rods is not regulated.
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. The chemical composition of the alloy must correspond to Table No. 1.

2.2. The rods are supplied without heat treatment.
2.3. Mechanical properties are determined at room temperature on longitudinal heat-treated samples and must meet the requirements of Table No. 2.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES AND TEST METHODS
PACKAGING, MARKING AND DOCUMENTATION
3.1. Acceptance rules, testing methods, marking, packaging and documentation in accordance with the requirements of GOST 5949-61.
4. PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT FOR PRODUCTS
4.1. Prices for products are approved by the State Price Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and are published in price lists and appendices to them.

1. Validity period of the TU: "Unlimited".
2. Introductory part. Replace the word "intended" with "intended".
Add the following paragraph as amended:
"Example of a symbol.
Hot rolled rod with a diameter of 8 mm, length 600 mm, made of alloy grade ХН45Ю (ЭП747):
Round hot-rolled-8x600-ХН45Ю TU 14-1-941-74".
3. Throughout the text of the TU, exclude the last two digits of the standard numbers - the year of approval of the standard.
4. Clause 1.1. Second paragraph. Replace the word "permissible" with "maximum".
5. Item 2.1. Table 1. Replace the mass fraction of cerium: "0.003" with "0.03"
6. Clause 2.3. Table 2 shall be set out as follows:

8. Supplement the TU with clause 2.5 as amended:
"2.5. The macrostructure of the rods must not have any traces of shrinkage cavities, bubbles, cracks, or slag inclusions visible without the use of magnifying devices."
9. Section 4 shall be set out as follows:
"4. Transportation and storage.
4.1. Transportation and storage of rods - in accordance with GOST 7566."

10. Supplement the TU with a note as amended: "Note. Contract prices apply to rods according to these technical conditions."
11. Supplement the TU with Appendix 1 "List of regulatory documents referenced in the text of the technical specifications."

13. Letters of amendments from 15.04.75, 14.08.75, amendments No. 1, 2 and 4 shall be cancelled.

3 Introductory part. The example of the conventional designation shall be presented in the wording:
"Hot-rolled rod, 8 mm in diameter, 600 mm long, made of alloy grade 10ХН45Ю (ЭП747) for hot pressure processing (subgroup "a"):

4 Section 1 shall be set out in a new version:
"1 Assortment
1.1 The rods are made of round cross-section with dimensions from 8 to 100 mm inclusive.
In terms of shape, dimensions and maximum deviations, the rods must comply with:
a) hot rolled - GOST 22411:
- with a diameter from 8 to 9 mm inclusive with a maximum deviation of plus 1.0, minus 0.5 mm;
- with a diameter from 10 to 13 mm inclusive - with the 2nd accuracy group;
- with a diameter from 14 to 55 mm inclusive - with the 1st accuracy group;
- with a diameter from 60 to 70 mm inclusive - with a maximum deviation in diameter of plus or minus 2.5 mm (on the crimping stand of the 350/250 mm mill). The ovality of the rods should not exceed 0.7 of the sum of the maximum deviations in diameter, the curvature of the rods should not exceed 6 mm per 1 m of length.

5 Clause 2.1 Set out as amended:
