The deadline for introduction is set from 01.01.1992.

1. This standard applies to titanium alloys intended for the production of ingots and semi-finished products.

2. The grades and chemical composition of titanium alloys must correspond to those indicated in the table.

3. The hydrogen content in ingots must not exceed 0.006%. Standards for hydrogen content in semi-finished products are additionally specified in the regulatory and technical documentation for specific types of semi-finished products.

4. It is permitted to introduce modifying additives into alloys up to 0.003%.

Boron-modified alloys are additionally marked with the index B.

5. Boron is introduced into alloys based on calculations and its actual content is not determined.

6. In grade 5B alloy, the zirconium content together with other impurities should not exceed 0.3%.

7. In alloys of grades 3M and 19, the content of vanadium and tin is allowed to be no more than 0.15% (in total).

8. The alloys may contain copper and nickel in an amount of no more than 0.10% (in total), including nickel no more than 0.08%.

9. The column "Sum of other impurities" includes elements used as alloying additives, the permissible content limits of which are not indicated in the table, as well as copper and nickel.

10. The content of elements included in the column "Sum of other impurities" is guaranteed by the manufacturer in accordance with the requirements of this standard and is not controlled.

11. It is permissible to narrow the limits on the content of alloying elements according to the normative and technical documentation for specific types of semi-finished products.
