Wire is made in outgassing, pickled conditions. Its out-of-roundness cannot override the features of its diameter. Its surface must be clean and clear, without non-pickled places, black spots, colors of tarnish. Minor tears, small guide marks, backfins of a depth that do not exceed sizes noted in table are allowed.
Note:presence of certain small defects is allowed according to GOST. If a wire has a diameter of up to 3,0 mm, defect depth must not exceed 0,1 mm; at a diameter that higher than 3,00 mm it must no exceed 0,2 mm. Correction of pollution and surface defects are done with a method of pickling treatment according to GOST. There is allowed further peeling-off of small single-piece pollutions. Pickling treatment of certain coils with further repeated degasifying are also allowed.
General scope of macrosection with defined depth exceeding defect during a process of metallographic examination cannot be higher than 10% of macrosection general scope of inspection lot.
Supply
Titanium wire is delivered in coils which diameter must not exceed 900 mm. Turned into coil wire must not stick together; it must not have a coil camber up to 100° according to GOST. Distortion of titanium wire which appears at coil annealing is not a flaw. Coil weight along with a wire cannot be more than 50 kg. If coil composes of a few pieces, a length of every piece must not be less than 10 m.

Marking
Every coil of wire must have attached mark that will define:
— number of batch and smelting;

Packaging
