6. REISSUE
This standard applies to carbon steel wire used for the manufacture of Elevator ropes.
Additional requirements that reflect the needs of the economy, in italics.
1. BASIC PARAMETERS AND DIMENSIONS
1.1. The wire is made:
referring to the surface — without coating;
temporary tear resistance, N/mm(kgf/mm), the following marking groups:
1370 (140); 1570 (160); 1770 (180).
1.2. Nominal diameter limit deviation shall be as given in table.1.

Note. At the request of the customer can be manufactured of wire, the intermediate diameters not covered by the table.1. Limit deviations for these diameters should correspond to the limit deviations in the direction of the larger diameter.
1.3. The roundness of the wire must not exceed half the tolerance on the diameter.
Example of designation of the cable wires with a diameter of 0.50 mm marking group 1770 (180) N/mm(kgf/mm):
Wire 0,5−1770 GOST 29121−91
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Wire shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
Wire shall be manufactured from carbon rope wire rod according to normative-technical documentation.
2.2. On the surface of wire should be free of cracks, shells, sunsets, shells and rust. Traces of copper plating technology on the surface of the wire are not allowed.
2.3. Permissible run-up temporary resistance to the rupture in the party must conform to the standards given in table.2.

2.6. Wire diameter less than 0.5 mm is subjected to a rupture test with the node. Thus the tearing force of the wire must be at least 50% of tearing force at break without knot.
For wire diameter from 0.5 mm to 0.8 mm test bend is replaced by a rupture test with the node.
2.7. Wire is manufactured in coils or on reels. Winding of wire should be carried out without entanglement of the coils and to permit free spooling of wire from the coils and coils. During the liberation from the bindings of a coil wire should be screwed to the group.
2.8. Wire on a reel should consist of one segment. The coil is allowed no more than three segments. The weight cut must conform to the standards specified in table.5.
