Marking
1. D16AM and VD1AM - annealed sheets with normal cladding.
2. D16 and VD1 are unplated sheets without heat treatment.
3. D16AT and VD1AT - annealed and naturally aged with normal cladding.
4. D16T - hardened and naturally aged sheets, unclad.
5. VD1AN and VD1AN2 - annealed and semi annealed with normal cladding.
6. Д16БТ and Д16УТ - quenched and naturally aged with technological or thickened cladding.
7. VD1NR - annealed and refined dural plate.
After quenching the microstructure of products should not have traces of overburning. After the thermal treatment they are tested.
Application
Sheets of grade D16 have high ductility, corrosion resistance excellent machinability, have satisfactory weldability and strength. They are used as fragments of the hulls of river vessels, ships or aircraft. They are often used for finishing internal interiors. VD1 alloy also has high strength and is well spot-welded.
