These technical conditions apply to hot-rolled rods made of alloys of the KhN78T (EI435) and KhN77TYuR (EI437B) grades, melted in vacuum-induction furnaces or in vacuum-induction furnaces with subsequent vacuum-arc remelting. The melting method is specified in the order.
Metal delivery is carried out in accordance with the conditions 01-1874-62 when specified in the order.
Experimental batch.
1. ASSORTMENT
1.1. Rods are supplied in sizes from 10 to 40 mm inclusive. In terms of shape, size and maximum deviations, hot-rolled rods must meet the requirements of GOST 22411 of the 3rd rolling accuracy group. The length of the rods must be a multiple of 350 mm. The tolerance for the overall multiple is +100 mm.
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. The chemical composition of the alloys must meet the requirements of Table 1.
2.2. The rods are supplied without heat treatment.
2.3. Mechanical properties at room temperature and at 700°C and long-term strength are determined on longitudinal control samples made from heat-treated blanks according to the regime specified in Table 2.
The mechanical property standards for the EI435 alloy at room temperature, for the EI437B alloy at 700°C and the long-term strength for the EI437B-VI and EI437B-ID alloys are given

2.4. The macrostructure of the rods must not contain voids, holes, cracks, delaminations or foreign inclusions visible without the use of magnifying devices.
2.5. There should be no cracks, folds, snags or films on the surface of the rods.
Local defects must be removed by gentle cutting or cleaning.
The depth of the defect recess should not exceed 8% of the diameter of the rods, calculated from the nominal value.
Individual small scratches, dents, and ripples within the one-sided minus maximum deviation for a given size, calculated from the actual size, are allowed without cleaning.
2.6. The assessment of metal contamination with non-metallic inclusions is carried out according to the scales of GOST 1778:
line oxides, point oxides,
brittle silicates, plastic silicates,
non-deformable silicates, sulfides,
nitrides and carbonitrides.
Control of non-metallic inclusions is carried out on 6 samples according to the methodology and scales of GOST 1778 using the "Ш" method, options "Ш4" and "Ш6".
The actual assessment results in points are entered into the quality document; the standards for contamination with non-metallic inclusions are established after the accumulation of data.
