Relevance
Copper is the most widespread non-iron metal. It possesses high corrosive resistance at normal atmospheric conditions — in sea, fresh water or various aggressive environments. Despite this, copper is non-resistant in environment of ammonia and sulfur dioxide. It can be easily brazed and pressure treated. Possessing low casting properties, copper is hardly welded and cut. C12500 — Cw006a — is an ultimate copper with low quantity of different residual elements. Plumb, arsenic, nickel, iron, sulfur, antimony, tin, bismuth are also presented in composition. Content of oxygen constitutes 0,05−0,08%. C12500 grade has high electric and heat conductivity, plasticity, corrosive resistance. Alloying components (phosphorus, nickel, etc.) influence on technical characteristics of copper. Copper grades differ depending on manufacturing method. By its physical characteristics, copper is divided into soft and hard.
Industrial usage: manufacture of copper basis alloys, high-quality pressure-treated semi-fabricates, air conditioners and part of cryogenic equipment.
