2.3. On the surface of wire should be free of cracks, shells, sunsets and rust. Allowed traces of drawing in the form of scratches or surface marks, the depth of which shall not exceed half the tolerance on the diameter, as well as traces of copper plating.
2.4. The complete decarburization of the wire is not allowed. Depth of partial decarburization shall not exceed 1% of the nominal wire diameter.
2.5. The wire should not crack and break when a spiral winding on a cylindrical core with a diameter equal to the diameter of the wire. The number of turns of the spiral should be eight.
2.6. The wire should not delaminate during twisting.
Under bundle refers to a crack running along a helix of the sample surface.
The main kink should be flat and perpendicular to the axis of the wire.
2.2−2.6. (Changed edition, Rev. N 4).
2.7. Wire shall be manufactured in rolls, consisting of one segment. During the liberation from the bindings of a coil wire not be withdrawn in «eight».
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
2.8. The mass of a coil shall be as defined in table.3.

2A. ACCEPTANCE RULES
2A.1. Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same steel grade, same diameter, same accuracy, same class, and should be issued a document about quality that contains:
trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;
symbol wire;
chemical analysis of steel;
the results of the tests;
the number of skeins or bays of the wire;
the batch number of the wire;
the weight of the party.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 4).
2A.2. Check the appearance and subjected to a diameter of each coil of wire.
