(Changed edition, Rev. N 2, 4).

2.8. Wire diameter is 3.0 mm or more to withstand upset in a cold state to ½ or 1/3 of the original height of the sample. The degree of precipitation is determined by the consumer.

The wire diameter is less than 3.0 mm precipitation in a cold state should be subjected to deep etching.

By agreement between manufacturer and consumer wire of diameter 3.0 mm and over must be able to withstand draught of cold to ¼ of its original height.

Wire of high accuracy of the first class must endure the draught in the cold state up to 1/3 of the original height of the sample.
