1.2.4 Foil and sheets must be cut evenly and have no breaks along the edges.

Burrs formed on the edges of the foil as a result of cutting, as well as waviness and curling of the edges, are not rejection signs.

1.2.5 The foil surface must be free of through breaks and delamination. Pinholes, dents, imprints that do not take the foil dimensions beyond the permissible deviations, as well as stains of contamination and waviness are not rejection signs.

1.2.6 The surface of the sheets must be free of delamination and rolled cracks. Chips, dents, imprints, traces of abrasive cleaning on the surface of sheets with a thickness of 0.1 to 10.0 mm, not taking the dimensions of the sheets beyond the permissible deviations, are not rejection signs.

1.2.7 Foil and sheets shall be supplied in an unannealed condition. Upon agreement of the parties, foil and sheets may be supplied in annealed condition.

1.2.8 The warpage of tantalum sheets with a thickness of 0.1 to 0.6 mm should not be more than 5 mm over a length of 300 mm. The final value of warpage is established according to clause 3.2.

1.2.9 The camber of tantalum sheets shall not exceed 3 mm over a length of 100 mm. The final camber value shall be established in accordance with clause 3.2.

1.3 Packaging

1.3.1 Foil packaging

The pieces of foil are wound into a roll. The foil should be wound onto reels or cores.

Each foil roll weighing no more than 5 kg is wrapped in capacitor paper according to GOST 1908 or tissue paper according to GOST 3479, placed in a non-standard polyethylene film bag according to GOST 10354 and packed in a cardboard box according to GOST 7933. The foil roll is compacted with technical cotton wool according to GOST 5679 to prevent movement in the box. The box is tied with twine according to GOST 17308 or other types of threads made of artificial or natural fibers according to the relevant regulatory documentation. Only one roll is packed in a box.

1.3.2 Packing of sheets

Sheets of the same thickness are packed into packs or rolled into rolls as agreed by the parties. The weight of a pack (roll) is no more than 5 kg.

1.3.2.1 When assembling sheets into packs, each sheet is interleaved with capacitor paper in accordance with GOST 1908 or wrapping paper in accordance with GOST 8273 and placed in a non-standard bag made of polyethylene film.
