3 this standard was developed by the direct application of international standard ISO 7802−83 «metal Materials. Test method winding» with additional requirements that reflect the needs of the economy
4 Decree of the Russian Federation Committee on standardization, Metrology and certification dated June 2, 1994 N 160 inter-state standard GOST 10447−93 introduced indirectly as the state standard of the Russian Federation from January 1, 1995

6 REISSUE
1 Purpose and scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the ability of metallic wire of different cross-sectional shape with a diameter or thickness of from 0.1 mm to 10 mm inclusive to undergo plastic deformation upon winding.
Additional requirements that reflect the needs of the economy, in italics.
2 the essence of the method
2.1 the essence of the method consists in winding a few turns of wire in the form of a tightly wound spiral around the mandrel with a diameter established in the normative-technical documentation on the wire. If necessary, the test includes a sequence of nabivanija, razvivaya, re nabivanija.
2.2 If in the normative and technical documentation on the wire does not specify the diameter of the mandrel, the winding should be carried out:
for wire diameter less than 4.0 mm on the mandrel with a diameter equal to the diameter of the test sample;
for wire diameter from 4.0 mm to 6.0 mm on the mandrel with a diameter equal to twice the diameter of the test sample;
for a wire diameter of more than 6.0 mm on the mandrel with a diameter equal to triple the diameter of the tested sample.
3 Equipment for testing
The equipment should provide a winding of wire around the mandrel with the tight fit of the coils to each other. As the mandrel may be cut the test wire provided that its diameter corresponds to the diameter of the mandrel and has sufficient rigidity.
4 testing
4.1 the Tests shall be carried out at ambient temperature 10 to 35 °C.
Arbitration tests are carried out at a temperature of (23±5) °C.
4.2 Method of selection of samples for testing shall be established by normative-technical documentation on the wire.
4.3 sample Length is set depending on the diameter of mandrel number of turns.
4.4 Before the test is allowed to edit samples with the right machines, the hammer, and manually, with the surface of the samples must not be damaged, the cross section should not be changed.
4.5 Wire needs to be wound without twisting a tight spiral around the mandrel, rotating at a constant speed not more than 1 sso that adjacent coils touch each other. Speed nabivanija, if necessary, can be changed to allocated during the test of the heat does not affect the test results.
The number of turns of the specimen when tested indicate in the normative-technical documentation on the wire, in the absence of such indication, the number of turns must be at least 5.
4.6 For a tighter coiling is allowed to wire specimen applying tensile stress, the value of which shall not exceed 5% of the nominal value of the temporary resistance.
4.7 When required razvijanje or razvijanje with the subsequent winding, the test speed must be low enough, but not more than 1to increase in temperature had no effect on the test results. At the end of the test razvijanje at least one round should remain on the mandrel.
4.8 Requirements for the evaluation of the test results of the winding are indicated in corresponding standards and other normative technical documentation on the wire. If these requirements are not given, then the absence of the surface cracks, visible without the use of magnifying devices, is considered to be enough in order to consider a sample which has withstood the test. Wire thickness or diameter less than 0.5 mm should be monitored using increase to 10, if so specified in the normative-technical documentation on the wire.
5 test report
The test report must contain:
a) the number of this standard;
b) designation of wire (steel grade, coating type, etc.);
in) diameter or thickness of the test sample;
d) the diameter of the mandrel;
d) test conditions (number of turns or the length of the wound part);
e) test results.
Allowed in the test protocols for specific types of wire instead of subparagraphs d, e, f to specify «corresponds to the NTD».
