Technical characteristics
This alloy is one of the first native industrial titanium alloys. It was manufactured by VIAM in 1950-ies. There is casting variant of this alloy. Titanium grade 6 is proposed by VIAM in 1958. It has become an analogue of foreign grade Ti-5Al-22,5Sn. This alloy has single-phase α-structure. It is not hardened by a heat treatment.
