Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or published annually by the information sign «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year, and the editions of the monthly information index «National standards» for the current year. If the reference standard is replaced (changed), when using this standard should be guided by replacing (amended) standard. If the reference standard is replaced without replacement, the position in which reference is made to it is applied in the part concerning this link.

3 Terms and definitions

This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:

3.1 dent: the Defect of the surface in the form of randomly-located indentations of various shapes and sizes with smooth edges.

3.2 captivity: the Defect of the surface in the form of delamination, often azkabanu shape, elongated in the warp direction and United with the base metal on one side.

3.3 impurity: Defect surface in the form of inclusion of metallic or non-metallic foreign bodies (particles) of various shapes and sizes.

3.4 shell: the surface defects in the form of a single elongated recess or a point shape from chipping of foreign objects or opening of the gas bubble.

3.5 stratification: the surface defects in the form of separation layer (s) metal, oriented along the direction of deformation.

3.6 trace Stripping: the surface defects in the form of area with increased roughness, formed after Stripping the wire of the abrasive tool.

3.7 scratch: the surface defects in the form of indentations of irregular shape and an arbitrary direction, the resulting mechanical damage, including during storage and transportation.

4 Classification

4.1 the method of manufacture of the grid are divided as follows:

— woven — educated cross-weave wires of the base (wires running along the mesh) with the weft wires (wires perpendicular to the fiber mesh);

— knitted — formed by bending the wire in loops, with the subsequent interweaving of them together.

4.2 surface preparation method:

without surface activation;

— activating the surface by a flame of hydrogen;

— electrochemical activation of the surface.

4.3 the designation of the meshes are given in Appendix A.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 Main parameters and characteristics (properties)

5.1.1 Mesh shall conform to the requirements of this standard and be manufactured according to the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

5.1.2 produce Woven wire mesh plain weave with square cells of type TK. Parameters and basic dimensions of the grids must meet the requirements specified in figure 1 and in table 1.

5.1.3 Types of knitting and wire diameter for making a knitted mesh shall conform to the requirements specified in table 2.

5.1.4 Shape and dimensions of the grids must meet the requirements specified in table 3.

5.1.5 Mesh, the perimeter needs to be expanded, hammered or framed by the Board of the same mesh. The width of the border shall conform to the requirements specified in table 3.

5.1.6 Mesh with a diameter of 2000 to 3000 mm inclusive can be manufactured in two parts, connected by a welded seam mesh having a diameter greater than 3000 mm — three parts connected by two welds. Joint width shall conform to the requirements given in table 3.
