This standard applies to cold rolled strips and strips of tin-zinc-lead bronze brand Brocs 4−4-2,5 used in the automotive and tractor industry.
1. ASSORTMENT
1.1. The dimensions of the strips and limit deviations thereon shall be as specified in table. 1.

1. At the request of the consumer tape manufactured intermediate sizes thickness.
2. It is possible to manufacture strips of length not less than 5 m not more than 10% of the party.
3. Tape with a thickness of 1.30 mm and more are manufactured with a width of 25 mm or more.
4. At the request of the consumer tape is manufactured with higher precision as the width of the extreme deviations minus 0.3 mm for belts with a thickness up to 1.00 mm; -0.5 mm for strips of thickness in excess of 1.20 mm and a width of from 10 to 175 mm, and strips of thickness greater than 1.00 mm and a width of more than 175 to 300 mm.

1.2. Allowed tape with the presence of welded joints after every 10 m length (when the thickness of the ribbons to 1.20 mm) and spaced every 7 m in length (thickness of strips exceeding 1,20 mm). 1.4. Strips are made with width from 40 to 300 mm. maximum deviations along the width of the strips should correspond to the values indicated in table. 3.

Note. The width of strips of thickness in excess of 3.00 mm should be agreed between manufacturer and user.

1.5. Length of strips should be not less than 1.5 m. At the request of the consumer made strip lengths. Limit deviations of the length measuring strips +10 mm.
Allowed bands 1 to 1.5 m, inclusive, in the amount of not more than 10% of the party.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Tape shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner, of tin-zinc-lead bronze brand Brocs 4−4-2,5 with the chemical composition according to GOST 5017−74.

2.2. Tape and strips produce a soft, semi-solid and solid.
2.3. The surface of the ribbons and bands should be clean and smooth without captivity, cracks, bubbles, cavities and dents.
Allowed local defects — pricks, scratches and roughness, if it does not take the tape at reference sweep for tolerances for thickness.
Allowed on the surface of the belts and bands of colour of a tint.
In coordination with the consumer the quality of the surface is allowed to control samples agreed between the consumer and manufacturer.

2.4. The tape should be trimmed evenly and must not have significant burrs. Wavy, wrinkled and ragged edge is not allowed.
Camber strips and strips should not exceed 3 mm per 1 m length.

2.5. Mechanical properties of strips and strips shall be as specified in table. 4.

Notes:
1. In coordination with the consumer of tape in a semi-solid state are produced with a temporary resistance sin = 390 — 540 MPa (40 — 55) kgf/mm2.
2. By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer of the tape sizes and 2,0195 1,7145 mm normal accuracy in a semi-solid state produce high ductility with elongation not less than 12%.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Tape take parties. The party should consist of strips or bands of the same size, one precision manufacturing, one state of the material and be accompanied by a document about quality that contains:
trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;
the symbol of the strips or bands;
batch number;
the weight of the batch.
The mass of the party must be not more than 2500 kg.

3.2. Verification of dimensions (except thickness), camber and surface conditions subjected to each coil of tape or strip.

3.2. To control the thickness of the tape or strip from the party taken the rolls of strips and stripes, «blind» (by the greatest objectivity) according to GOST 18321−73. The control plans comply with GOST 18242−72. The number of controlled rolls of tapes and the number of monitored bands are selected in accordance with table. 5.

The number of monitored points in each selected coil is determined in accordance with table. 6.

Selected roll of tape is considered valid if the number of measurements is not appropriate table. 1, less than the acceptance number specified in table. 6.
The number of controlled points on each selected lane is determined depending on the total number of parcels with a length of 100 mm along the perimeter strip in accordance with the table. 7. When the length of the perimeter is not a multiple of 100 mm, the end section of a length less than 100 mm is taken for one site.

Selected bands are considered to be valid if the number of measurements is not appropriate table. 2, less than the acceptance number specified in table. 7.
Allowed the manufacturer if unsatisfactory result on one of the selected coils or on one of the selected bands to control each coil or each strip party.

3.3. To determine the mechanical properties of the party select five rolls or five lanes.

3.4. To determine the chemical composition of the party taken three rolls of tape or three bands. On the manufacturer is allowed to inspect the chemical composition of the molten metal.

3.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators (except the thickness) it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS
4.1. The surface quality of the ribbons and strips checked visually without the use of magnifying devices.
4.2. The width of the ribbon and strip are measured by Vernier caliper according to GOST 166−80.
The length of the ribbons and strips measure measuring tape according to GOST 7502−80.
Allowed width and length of strips and bands to determine other means of measurement, to ensure the necessary measurement accuracy.
4.3. The thickness of the tape or strip is measured with a micrometer with a scale division of 0.01 mm according to GOST 6507−78 and a micrometer with a scale division of 0.002 mm according to GOST 4381−87.
Allowed to the manufacturer in the production process to control the thickness of the ribbon or strip of other measurement tools that provide required accuracy.
Thickness control of strips and stripes carried out with a given probability of 96%.
The thickness of the tape or strip is measured at each selected coil, or on each of the selected strip at points positioned uniformly randomly along the length of the tape roll or the perimeter strip.
Measuring the thickness of the tape or strip is carried out at a minimum distance of 100 mm from the end and not less than 10 mm from the edge. In coordination with the consumer the measurement of the thickness of the strip with welded joints carried out at a distance of not less than 100 mm from the ends and weld and at least 10 mm from the edge. For tapes with a width of 20 mm or less, the measurement is performed in the middle.
The tape length (L) in meters is calculated by the formula
where D and d are respectively the outer and inner diameters of the coil, measured with a ruler according to GOST 427−75, mm;
b — band thickness, mm.
The results of measuring the thickness of the tape, not the related table. 1 should not differ from that permitted more than half of the tolerance field:
The number of bands in the party (M) is calculated according to the formula

l is the length of the strip, mm;
g — material density, g/cm3.
Number of controlled sections in the band (N) is calculated according to the formula
The results of measuring the thickness of the band, not the corresponding table. 2, should not differ from the permitted more than half of the tolerance field.
4.4. Measurement of camber strips and strips is carried out according to GOST 26877−86.

4.5. For the tensile test from each selected roll of tape or strip is taken one sample. The selection of samples for the determination of mechanical properties is carried out according to GOST 24047−80.
Tensile testing of tapes and bands is carried out according to GOST 11701−84 the samples of a type I or II with b0 = 20 mm .

4.6. Determination of the chemical composition of the ribbons and strips is carried out according to GOST 1953.1−79 — GOST 1953.12−79 or by other methods providing the required accuracy set by the standard.
The differences in the evaluation of the results of measurement carried out according to GOST 1953.1−79 — 1953.12 GOST-79.
To determine the chemical composition of each selected roll of tape or strip is taken one sample. Selection and preparation of samples for the determination of chemical composition is carried out according to GOST 24231−80.

5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
5.1. Tape must be rolled into rolls and strips folded in bundles.
5.2. (Deleted, Rev. No. 1).
5.3. Each roll of tape shall be wrapped in heavy paper according to GOST 9569−79, or non-woven material according to normative-technical documentation, or in other packaging materials, ensures safety of our products, with the exception of linen and cotton fabrics and tied in two or three places with tape, not less than 0,320 mm according to GOST 3560−73 or wire with diameter not less than 2 mm according to GOST 3282−74.
Bundles of strips should be wrapped in thick paper according to GOST 9569−79 and coated on two sides (top and bottom) boards and tied in two or three places with tape, not less than 0,320 mm according to GOST 3560−73или wire with diameter not less than 2 mm according to GOST 3282−74. Bond tips: twist the wire at least 5 turns, feed — in castle.

5.4. Each roll of ribbon or bundle of strips should be attached a label showing:
the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
batch number;
the legend of strips or bands;
the mark of the technical control Department.

5.5. Weight of cargo must not exceed 80 kg Consolidation packages in overpacks shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of GOST and GOST 21929−76 24597−81. Packaging is carried out on pallets according to GOST 9557−87, GOST or 22831−77 or without pallets using bars section not less than 5050 mm and a length equal to the width of the package. Transport packages must be wrapped in longitudinal and cross direction wire diameter not less than 3 mm according to GOST 3282−74 or tape not less than 0,320 mm according to GOST 3560−73. Bond tips: twist the wire at least 5 turns, feed — in castle.

5.6. Transport marking — according to GOST 14192−77 with application of manipulation sign «Afraid of dampness».

5.7. Transportation of tapes and bands performed by all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with goods transportation regulations applied to this type of transport of small or carload types send.
When shipping in containers and covered trucks tape transporterowych without packaging, and when carload shipment to a single address — without package is formed into transport packets. They must be stowed and fastened so that it is eliminated by their movement during transportation.

5.8. Tape should be stored under cover that protects them from atmospheric precipitation, in the absence of contact with moisture and active chemical substances.
5.9. Packaging products in the far North and remote areas shall be in accordance with the requirements of GOST 15846−79 the group metals and metal products.
