Notes
1 Mark an «x» marked recommended combinations of outer diameter and wall thickness of the pipe.
2 Bars and tubes with a diameter of 58 mm and 65 are made of bronze.

By agreement with the consumer allowed the production of rods and tubes of other diameters.

Theoretical weight of 1 m of rods and pipes is given in Appendix A.

1.3. Rods and tubes shall be manufactured with a length divisible by 400 mm but not exceeding 2000 mm.

Examples of symbols

rod in bronze brand Бр05Ц5С5 with a diameter of 40 mm, length 800 mm, second group:

Rod Бр05Ц5С5 40х800−2, GOST 24301−93;

pipe brass grade LC40S an outer diameter of 60 mm, a wall thickness of 16 mm, a length of 400 mm, the first group:

Pipe LC40S 60х16х400−1, GOST 24301−93

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Rods and tubes must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard technological instruction, duly approved, from alloys with the chemical composition according to GOST 613 — bronze and GOST 17711 — brass.

2.2. The metal section bars and tubes must be thick, does not contain extraneous inclusions and gas shells.

2.3. The surface of rods and pipes must be free of cracks, cavities and nonmetallic inclusions. Permitted surface defects provided that they do not extend in depth more than half the difference of the measured diameter and the minimum.

Allowed scallops formed because of the development of molds and mandrels, if they do not control the turning of output dimensions of the workpiece for tolerances for inner and outer diameter.

2.4. Tolerance ovality of rods and tolerances ovality and concentricity of the pipes should take their dimensions limit deviations for outer diameter and wall thickness.

2.5. Mechanical properties of rod and pipe shall be as specified in table 2.

2.9. Bars and pipes with specific requirements for mechanical properties and limit deviations of dimensions are made by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Bars and pipes take parties. The party must consist of rods and tubes of the same brand of alloy, one size shall be furnished in one document about quality that contains:

trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

the symbol bars or tubes;

batch number;

the weight of the batch;

grade;

the size and number of bars or tubes;

the results of mechanical tests and chemical analysis (by customer request);

the designation of this standard.

3.2. For testing of mechanical properties and control the chemical composition of the selected at least two bars or tubes from the party.

On the manufacturer is allowed to inspect the chemical composition of the samples taken from the molten metal.

3.3. Quality control external and internal surfaces and the quality of the metal section is subjected to each prefabricated (rod, pipe).

3.4. To control the size of the party take 5% of the bars or tubes.

3.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one indicator thereon, a second test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch, the results of repeated tests spread to the entire party.
