1 Scope
This standard applies to cold-rolled and hot-rolled strips of Nickel silver, Nickel silver, and Manila used in various industries.

3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 captivity: the Defect of the surface in the form of delamination, often azkabanu forms, partly United with the base metal.
3.2 stratification: the surface defects in the form of a discontinuity of metal, oriented along the direction of deformation.
3.3 bubble: the Defect of the surface in the form of localized swelling of metal of various sizes and shapes.
3.4 crack: a Defect in the form of local rupture of metal of various sizes, having any direction.
3.5 scratch: a Defect of a surface which is a recess of irregular shape and an arbitrary direction.
3.6 dent: the Defect of the surface in the form of randomly-spaced local depressions of various sizes and shapes with sloping edges.
3.7 shell: the surface defects in the form of grooves, having an elongated or dot shape and chaotic arrangement.
3.8 inclusion: the Defect located on the surface or inside of the ingot or semifinished product in the form of inclusions of metallic or non-metallic foreign bodies (particles).
3.9 nakoly: Defect surface in the form of a recurrent point of the recesses or through holes.
3.10 darkening: a Defect in the form of a solid dark surface.
3.11 Burr: the Defect surface, which is a sharp as a ridge protrusion, or a twisted spiral strip of metal at the cutting of the ingot or semi-finished product.
4 Assortment
4.1 Thickness of cold rolled strips and limit deviations on thickness shall be as specified in table 1.

4.4 Width of hot rolled strips and limit deviations on width shall be as specified in table 4.

4.5 Strips must be manufactured with the length from 500 to 2000 mm. Bands are made with a measuring interval of 500 mm dimensional and random length. Limit deviations for the length of the strip dimensional and multiple lengths shall not exceed:
minus 10.0 mm for strips with length up to 1000 mm inclusive;
minus 15.0 mm for bands with a length of over 1000 mm.
At customer’s request, produce strip lengths from 1000 to 2000 mm.

5 Technical requirements
5.1 Strip manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner, of cupronickel MN19 brand, Nickel silver brand MNC15−20, Manila brand МНЖМц28−2,5−1,5 with the chemical composition according to GOST 492.
5.2 Strip manufactures hot-rolled and cold-rolled.
Cold-rolled strip made of Nickel silver — hard and soft, Nickel-silver — soft, hard and extra hard, from Manila — soft and semi-hard.
Extra hard strips of Nickel silver are manufactured up to a thickness of 4 mm.
5.3 the surface of the strips should be free from contamination, hinder the inspection. On the surface are not allowed slivers, delaminations, bubbles, cracks, scratches, dents, shells, nakoly and enable outputting of the strip at reference sweep for tolerances for thickness.
Allowed local darkening and traces of unburned lubricant.
Allowed the quality of the strip surface to install the samples agreed between manufacturer and user.
5.4 Strip should be trimmed evenly and should not have a significant Burr onGOST 15467. Wavy, wrinkled and torn edges are not allowed.
Allowable cut end Squareness, mm should take strips for maximum deviations in length and width.
5.5 Camber strips shall not exceed 4 mm to 1 m.
5.6 Mechanical properties of cold rolled strips shall be as given in table 5.

5.7 Mechanical properties of hot rolled strips is not reglamentary.
6 acceptance Rules
6.1 Strip take parties. The party should consist of bands of one method of manufacture, the alloy of the same brand, same size, same precision and same condition and furnished by a single document about quality that contains:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the name of the country of manufacture;
— legal address of the manufacturer and (or) the seller;
— the symbol of the band;
the results of mechanical testing (at the customer’s request);
— the batch number;
the weight of the party.
The weight of the batch shall be not more than 1000 kg.
6.2 Control of surface quality and dimensions are subjected to each lane.
6.3 To check the camber taken away two lanes from the party.
6.4 testing of mechanical characteristics select three strips from the party.
6.5 To control the chemical composition of selected two bands from party.
6.6 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators (except for surface quality and size) it is carried out a re-test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated testing are spreading to the entire party.
7 Methods of inspection and testing
7.1 Inspection of strip surface is carried out visually without the use of magnifying devices.
7.2 measuring the thickness of the strip is carried out at a minimum distance of 50 mm from the end and not less than 10 mm from the edge of the micrometer type ML according to GOST 6507.
The measurement is required for both ends and the middle part of the strip not less than three places.
7.3 Measurement of the width of the strip is carried out in a single place at a minimum distance of 100 mm from the end.
The measurement of the width and length of the metal strip is carried out the measuring tape according toGOST 7502 or measuring ruler according to GOST 427 or a caliper according to GOST 166.
7.4 the Camber of the strip is measured according to GOST 26877.
7.5 For the tensile test from each selected strip cut one sample in the direction of rolling. Selection of samples for tensile tests carried out according to GOST 24047. Tensile tests strips of a thickness up to 3 mm is carried out according toGOST 11701 on flat samples of type I with a width of 20 mm with an initial estimated length .
Tensile tests strips of a thickness of 3.0 mm and more is carried out according to GOST 1497 on flat samples of type I with a width of 20 mm for strips with thickness up to 7 mm inclusive, of a width of 30 mm for strips of a thickness more than 7 mm. the Initial gauge length of the samples .
7.6 To determine the chemical composition of each selected strip cut one sample. Selection and preparation of samples for the determination of chemical composition is carried out according toGOST 24231.
Analysis of the chemical composition of the strips is carried out according to GOST 6689.1 — GOST 6689.22. General requirements for methods of analysis should correspond to GOST 25086.
Allowed to the manufacturer of the sampling carried out by the molten metal.
Allowed to carry out chemical analysis by other methods of equal precision specified.
If there is disagreement in the assessment of the chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 6689.1 — GOST 6689.22.
7.7 the results of the measurements are rounded according to the rounding rules established in ST SEV 543.
8 Packing, marking, transportation and storage
8.1 Strip of a thickness not exceeding 5 mm, stacked in bundles should be wrapped in waxed paper according to GOST 9569 or other materials on regulations and Packed in wooden boxes of GOST 2991.
Strip thickness up to 5 mm Packed in crates types V-1, V-2, VI-1, VI-2 according toGOST 2991.
Sizes of boxes for strips up to 1200 mm — according to GOST 21140, for strips with a length of over 1200 mm, determine the dimensions of the strips according to the normative documents approved in the prescribed manner.
Strips of a thickness more than 5 mm need to be stacked in bundles, and the mass bands of over 30 kg — the individual bands wrapped in waxed paper according to GOST 9569, Packed in synthetic or nonwoven material, ensure quality safety strips according to the normative documents and protected top and bottom with boards or wooden boards, the dimensions of which correspond to the width and length of the stack.
Packed so bundles of strips should be tied in at least two places with a steel tape of size not less than 0,3x20 mm according to GOST 3560 or steel wire of diameter not less than 2 mm according to GOST 3282. The ends of the straps fasten in the lock, wire — stranding at least five turns.
8.2 For each band or bundle of strips should be attached a label showing:
— trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the name of the country of manufacturer;
— the legend of the strip;
— batch number;
— stamp of technical control.
8.3 Weight of cargo must not exceed 80 kg.
Consolidation packages in overpacks carried out in accordance with the requirements of GOST 26663. Means bonding in the transport packets according to GOST 21650.
Packaging is carried out on pallets according to GOST 9557 or without pallets with the use of bars with a height of not less than 50 mm and a length equal to the width of the package with strapping in the longitudinal and transverse directions with wire of diameter not less than 2 mm or tape of size not less than 0,3x20 mm Bond wire ends is carried out by twisting at least five turns of tape to the castle.
Weight of cargo must not exceed 2000 kg. Weight of cargo space in covered wagons should not exceed 1250 kg.
8.4 Bundles of strips or a single strip wrapped in paraffined paper GOST 9569 or other materials, ensure quality safety strips according to the normative documents allowed to be transported in containers according to GOST 18477 without packing in boxes and without the protection of wooden planks or boards. Strip must be laid and fastened in such a way to exclude their movement within the container during transportation.
8.5 Transport marking — according to GOST 14192 with the application of manipulation sign «Protect from moisture».
8.6 the Packing strips, intended for dispatch to the far North regions and equated areas according to GOST 15846 in the group «Metals and metal products."
8.7 In each box or container must be attached to the packing slip, containing:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the name of the country of manufacture;
— the symbol of the band;
— the batch number;
the net weight.
8.8 Stripes transporterowych all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with transportation rules and conditions of loading and fastening of goods, operating on transport of the species.
8.9 Strips should be stored in covered premises. During storage and transport lanes must be protected from mechanical damage, moisture and active chemical substances.
The consumer strips should be kept in stock in original packaging not less than one day to equalize the temperature of the strips to the room temperature. At the expiration of the period of bands need to be unpacked.
9 manufacturer’s Warranty
9.1 the Manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the bands to the present standard requirements provided the customer observes the conditions of transportation and storage.
9.2 the Warranty period of storage of the strips is 12 months from date of manufacture.
9.3 after the warranty period of storage of the strip before use must be checked for their compliance with the requirements of this standard and compliance can be used by the user to the destination.
