Allowed to the manufacturer on the basis of control to check the thickness of each strip party.
Allowed the manufacturer to control the thickness of the strip in the production process.
Customer’s request thickness control is conducted on each lane of the party.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
3.3. To control the mechanical properties, the microstructure of each full and partial tons of bands take two lanes. Control of the microstructure is carried out at the request of the consumer.
3.4. To control for felling and convolution caps from each complete and incomplete tons of bands take away one lane. Control on felling and convolution caps held at the request of the consumer.
3.5. To determine the chemical composition of selected two bands from party. On the manufacturer sampling for determining the chemical composition may be performed from liquid metal.
3.6. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators (except thickness) for him to repeat the test at twice the number of lanes taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. The surface quality of the test strips without the use of magnifying devices.
4.2. The thickness of the strip is measured with a micrometer according to GOST 6507−90. The change in the thickness of the strip is carried out at a minimum distance of 100 mm from the end and not less than 10 mm from the edge.
Control of the thickness of the strips is carried out with a given probability of 96%. The thickness of the strip at each selected band is measured at points located uniformly randomly on the perimeter of the strip.
The number of bands in the party (M) is calculated according to the formula
.
where the weight of the batch, kg;
— material density, g/cm;
— strip thickness, mm;
— band width, mm;
the length of the strip, mm.
Number of controlled sections in the band () is calculated by the formula
.
The results of measuring the strip thickness that do not correspond to the values given in table.1, should not differ from the permissible by more than half of the pitch limit deviation, except for strips of a thickness of 2.20 mm and of 2.63 for which the allowable difference should not be more than 0.05 mm.
Allowed to the manufacturer in the production process to control the thickness of the strip other means of measurement, to ensure the necessary accuracy.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
4.2. The width of the bands measured by Vernier caliper according to GOST 166−89 or metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.

The measurement bandwidth is carried out at three sites: at both ends and in the middle part.
(Added, Rev. N 3).
4.3. Check skew cutting is carried out using the calibration of a square according to GOST 3749−77.
4.4. Measurement of the camber of the bands is carried out according to GOST 26877−91. Allowed to measure the camber using other methods providing the required accuracy of measurement.
