(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
2.2. Cold-rolled strip and strips are manufactured in the solid state.
2.3. The surface of the strip must be free from contamination, hinder visual inspection.
Allowed individual surface defects (dents, scratches, small slivers, and nakoly) if they do not withdraw and strip at reference sweep for tolerances for thickness. Allowed color of a tint and local darkening.
On the surface of hot-rolled strips, moreover, allowed the roughness of the prints from the rolls in the form of a fine mesh, not bringing the strip at reference sweep for tolerances for thickness. Hot rolled strip is not etched.
Note. By agreement with the consumer surface quality of cold rolled strips and tapes sets from the samples approved in the established order.
2.4. Bands and ribbons should be trimmed evenly and must not have significant burrs. Wavy, wrinkled and ragged edge is not allowed. The edge of the hot-rolled strips with thickness of 25 mm or more is not clipped.
2.3, 2.4. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).
2.5. Camber per 1 m of length shall not exceed:
4 mm for cold rolled strips;
3 mm — for tapes.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. Strip and ribbon take parties. The party should consist of a strip of the same size, the same brand of copper, one of accuracy and be accompanied by a document about quality that contains:
trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;
designation strips or tapes;
the results of the tests at the request of the consumer;
the batch number and the weight of the batch.
The weight of the batch should not exceed 3,000 kg.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
3.2. Inspection of the surface and the measurement should be subjected to each strip or tape of the party.
3.3. To check the chemical composition of the selected four-lane or four tapes from the party. Allowed the manufacturer to carry out the sampling from the molten metal. Sampling and sample preparation — according to GOST 24231−80.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).
3.4. To determine the grain size and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement select one strip or tape from each of 300 kg the party, but at least two strips or tapes from the party.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
3.5. If unsatisfactory results at least in one of the figures it is carried out re-tests on twice the number of samples taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. The inspection of the surface of the strip is produced without the use of magnifying devices.
4.2. Measure the thickness of the strip is produced by micrometer according to GOST 6507−90.
Measure the width of the strip to produce a ruler according to GOST 427−75 or caliper according to GOST 166−89.
Measurement shall be both the end and the middle part of the strip.
The thickness of the strip is measured at a distance of not less than 50 mm from the end and not less than 5 mm from the edge.
4.3. Camber — according to GOST 26877−91.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).
4.4. To check the chemical composition of the selected one sample from each check strip. Chemical composition is determined by GOST 13938.1−78 — GOST 13938.12−78, GOST 13938.13−69 and GOST 9717.1−82 — GOST 9717.3−82.
Selection and preparation of samples for chemical analysis according to GOST 24231−80.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).
4.4. To determine the amount of grain taken one sample from each check strip and annealed at a temperature of 600 °C for 1 h.
The average grain size determined according to GOST 21073.0−75, GOST 21073.1−75.
(Added, Rev. N 2).
4.5. For the determination of the resistance against hydrogen embrittlement from each tape selected for the test cut samples of 10 mm width and a length of (100+10) mm in the direction of plastic deformation.
Of strips of a thickness more than 2 mm samples made of cold rolling or mechanical cutting in the direction of the deformation.
The samples cut from the strips must have the following dimensions: thickness 2 mm, width 10 mm and length of (100+10) mm.
Determination of the resistance against hydrogen embrittlement was carried out according to GOST 24048−80методом annealing in hydrogen at a temperature of (850±25) °C for 30 min, followed by a test on excess or metallographic control. If there is disagreement in the evaluation of resistance against hydrogen embrittlement determination is carried out metallographic control.
Visual inspection of the annealed in hydrogen samples on the surface should be no blisters and cracks.
The samples shall withstand without breakage into two parts is not less than 10 bends at 180° in the plates with a radius of curvature equal to 2,5 times the thickness of the sample.
Samples for metallographic control should be cut so that the plane of the cone was parallel to the direction of plastic deformation, one of the sides must not be machined.
Observation under a microscope is carried out at 200 x magnification. At the grain boundaries in the microstructure should be free of pores and cracks.
