5 REPLACE GOST 28106−89
Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annual reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly information index «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in the monthly information index «National standards». Relevant information, notification and lyrics are also posted in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet
1 Scope
This standard establishes the procedure for the selection and preparation of samples and specimens of copper cathodes for determination of electrical resistivity
2 Normative references
The present standard features references to the following international standards:

Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or in the annual information index «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year, and the editions of the monthly information index «National standards» for the current year. If the reference standard is replaced (changed), when using this standard should be guided by replacing (amended) standard. If the reference standard is cancelled without replacement, then the situation in which the given link applies to the extent that does not affect this link.
3 measuring instruments, equipment, accessories, materials, reagents
In the selection and preparation of samples and specimens used the following measuring instruments, equipment and accessories:
— high frequency induction furnace or a resistance furnace providing heating temperature of at least 1200 °C;
— milling machine «HERZOG», «HK 80 F» or similar;
— the lathe table TN-150 or equivalent;
— the machine rolling;
— machine pointing-prolonged;
oven or tubular resistance furnace for heat treatment at the temperature (700±5)°C for the constant temperature of the sample throughout its length;
— a timer that allows you to specify a measuring interval of 2 h with discreteness of 1 min. countdown;
— the mold copper or graphite (graphite form a horizontal square cross-section);
a rod of graphite;
— graphite crucibles with a lid.
When preparing samples using the following materials and reagents:
— sulfuric acid according to GOST 4204, diluted 1:10;
— distilled water according to GOST 6709;
— argon according to GOST 10157.
4 Sampling
4.1 For testing copper cathodes GOST 546 select 0.1% of the number of cathodes in the party, but not less than two.
Spot samples from the entire cathode were taken by cutting (pressing) discs with a diameter of from 10 to 40 mm or drilling through at four points on the corners, a distance of 50 to 100 mm from the edges of the cathode and at one point in the center of the cathode, or by drilling 5 (7) points located on the diagonal at an equal distance from each other, the extreme points must be in the corners of the cathode. The drill diameter is 10 to 20 mm.
Note — it is allowed to conduct the selection of point samples by cutting on the plate diagonal stripes of the cathode.
4.2 sampling should use methods and tools that prevent pollution and oxidation of samples. The cathode surface before sampling should be cleaned of dust and other mechanical contaminants with a stiff brush (non-metallic).
Discard the surface layer of metal when sampling is not allowed.
4.3 For strips obtained from the cutting (sawing) of cathodes according to GOST 24231 allowed to carry out sampling by planing or milling the faces.
4.4 the Chips are thoroughly mixed and briquetted under a load of 3 to 5 tons without the use of binder in briquettes with a diameter of 25 to 30 mm.
4.5 In the event of disagreement in assessing the quality of copper used method of sampling by drilling.
5 Preparation of samples and specimens for testing
5.1 the Discs, plates or briquettes is melted in a graphite crucible with a tight lid in an induction furnace or a resistance furnace at a temperature of from 1180 °C to 1200 °C. the Molten metal is kept in a crucible under a cover for 10 min, and then stirred with a graphite rod and the graphite is poured into a horizontal form (mold) of square section for receiving the ingot with the side of 20 to 22 mm and a length of from 100 to 200 mm, the Ingot is kept in the form of air. After cooling, the ingot will be turned on a lathe to a diameter of 18 to 19 mm. machining is carried out without the use of emulsions at speeds that preclude oxidation of the metal.
5.2 the Received sample with a diameter of 18 to 19 mm subjected to cold drawing to manufacture bars with diameter (6.35 mm±0,50) mm.
Notes:
1 may be used for production of bars is hot rolling, swaging and forging.
2 While preparing samples and specimens for determining the electrical resistivity of the samples and to the elongation of the spiral is allowed to apply for production of bars is hot rolling with getting a rod with a diameter of (8,0±0,4) mm.
The rod is subjected to annealing in a tube furnace or a resistance furnace at a temperature of (700±5)°C for (1,00±0,02) h, then cooled in water, etched in sulfuric acid solution, diluted 1:10 and washed with water.
Before annealing allowed to cut the rod into pieces so that each piece was to wire diameter (2,00±0,01) mm and a length of not less than 1300 mm.
5.3 For a sample diameter (2,00±0,01) mm rod diameter (6.35 mm±0,50) mm is subjected to drawing at a speed of pull of not more than 1 m/s if the compression of one pass of 20% to 25%.
The bars are subjected to drawing in one direction. Between the operations of drawing wire cooled for 5 min in air or 1 min in cold water.
5.4 Samples cut to a length of at least 1300 mm is coiled into coils with a diameter of at least 200 mm, and subjected to annealing in an induction furnace or a resistance furnace at temperature (500±5)°C for 1 h. After annealing, the wire was cooled in water, etched in sulfuric acid solution, diluted 1:10 and washed with water. If the annealing is carried out in a neutral environment (in the current of argon), the etching is not required.
Note — may be annealing in a tube furnace with an isothermal zone length of at least 1300 mm without coagulation of wire in coils.
