1 Scope
This standard applies to wire round beryllium bronze (hereinafter, wire) used in instrument and mechanical engineering.
This standard specifies the dimensions, technical requirements, acceptance rules, methods of control and testing, packaging rules, marking, transportation and storage of the wire.

3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the terminology according to GOST 32597, as well as the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 wire: Prefabricated with a cross section of constant size, rolled into the Bay or wound into a coil, manufactured by rolling, pressing or drawing.
3.2 Bay: Cut product wound into a series of continuous coils is correct, not mixed up in rows, with no sharp bends.
4 Assortment

Notes 1 At the request of the consumer wire manufactures high precision: diameter of 0,06 and 0,08 mm with a maximum deviation of minus 0.008 mm; a diameter of 0.10 to 0.20 mm with a maximum deviation of minus 0.010 mm; with a diameter of 0.25−0.50 mm with a maximum deviation of minus of 0,016 mm. 2 According to the customer request wire diameter of 0.13 mm are made of high accuracy with maximum deviation of ±0,005 mm. 3 is allowed to produce other wire diameter with maximum deviations on the nearest larger size. 4 Diameter, cross sectional area and theoretical weight of 1000 m used wire of circular cross section is given in Appendix A (table A. 1). |
4.2 out-of-Roundness of the wire must not exceed the limit deviation for diameter.
Note — At the customer’s request wire produced with ovality not exceeding half of the maximum deviations in diameter.
4.3 Wire is supplied in coils, Hanks or on reels.
