This standard applies to cold-drawn wire of lead brass, used for the manufacture of parts in instrument making and watch making industry.

1. ASSORTMENT

1.1. Wire diameter and tolerances for diameter shall be as specified in table.1.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Wire shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner, of lead brass grade LS 63−3 with the chemical composition according to GOST 15527.

2.2. The surface of the wire must be clean, smooth, without cracks, prisoner, foreign inclusions, delaminations, scratches and nicks.

Local surface allowed cracks, slivers, and foreign inclusions, delamination, risks, and nicks a depth tolerances for diameter, local redness of the surface and the color of the tint.

2.3. Wire produced in soft, semi hard, hard and extra hard. In a extra hard state wire produced with a diameter of 0,56 to 9.00 mm.

2.4. Mechanical properties of the wire shall be as specified in table.2.

2.5. Kink the wire must be free of delaminations, foreign inclusions and porosity visible to the naked eye.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same diameter, one state of the material and the same manufacturing precision and decorated with a single document about quality that contains:

trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

symbol wire;

the results of mechanical tests;

the weight of the party;

batch number.

The weight of the batch should not exceed 1000 kg.

3.2. To control the size and surface quality of wire used in single-stage normal sampling plan for the alternative characteristic in accordance with GOST 18242 with the acceptance level of defects is 2.5%. The sampling plan given in table.2A. Selection of wire in the sample is carried out «blindly» (by the greatest objectivity) according to GOST 18321.

The party is considered usable if the number of skeins with measurements that do not correspond to the requirements of table.1 and 2.2, less than the acceptance number given in table.2A.

At the customer’s request quality control of the surface and the size of the wire is subjected to each coil.

Allowed the manufacturer to control the quality of the surface and the size of wire in the production process.

3.3. To check the mechanical properties and fracture have selected two rolls from the party.

3.4. To determine the chemical composition of the selected two rolls from the party. 4. TEST METHODS

4.1. Visual inspection of the wire are conducting without the use of magnifying devices. The defects detected on the surface of the wire, sanded to extinction. For the value of the defect take the difference of diameters at the place of Stripping and next to him.

4.2. The measurement of the diameter of the wire and its out-of-roundness is carried out in at least two locations in two mutually perpendicular directions of the same cross-section with a micrometer according to GOST 6507, GOST 4381 or other devices that provide the necessary measurement accuracy.

4.3. For the test wire tensile from each selected coil cut on the same model. Sampling for tensile tests carried out according to GOST 24047. The tensile test is carried out according to GOST 10446.

If there is disagreement in the assessment of the chemical composition analysis of the wire is determined according to GOST 1652.1 — 1652.3 GOST, GOST 1652.6, 1652.7 GOST and GOST 1652.13.

5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.1. The wire should be rolled into coils without sharp bends. Each skein must consist of one piece of wire without splices and knots.

5.2. Each skein should be tied with soft wire with diameter not less than 0.5 mm according to GOST 3282 in at least two places symmetrically around the circumference of a coil with twisted wire at least three turns. Coils of wire of the same diameter, one precision and one state of the material can be tied in the Bay.

Each coil shall be securely tied with a soft wire with a diameter of at least 1 mm according to GOST 3282 in at least three places evenly around the circumference of the Bay with a strip of paper according to GOST 8273 in the field of dressing with a twist of wire at least five turns.

Allowed for ligation to use wire of diameter not less than 0.5 mm according to GOST 3282.

5.3. To each coil or coils, if it is not connected to the Bay, must be attached to plywood or metal label indicating:

the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

legend wire;

mass of a coil;

batch number;

stamp of technical control.

5.4. Bay or coils of wire must be wrapped around the circumference of non-woven material or other types of packaging materials according to normative-technical documentation, ensuring the safety of products, with the exception of linen and cotton fabrics, and tied with a soft wire in diameter not less than 0.5 mm 3282 churchyard not less than four places, transverse belts. The outer diameter of a coil or the Bay for a wire diameter of 5.0 mm and less shall not exceed 1000 mm; for a wire diameter of more than 5.0 mm should not exceed 1500 mm.

5.6. Packaging products in the far North and remote areas — according to GOST 15846, group «Metals and metal products."

5.6 b. Bay or coils of wire can be transported in universal containers according to GOST 20435 or GOST 22225 without wraps in packaging materials.

5.6 V. Consolidation packages in overpacks shall be in accordance with the requirements of GOST 26663, GOST 24597 on pallets according to GOST 9078. Formation of packets allowed to exercise and without pallets with the use of wooden bars of size not less than 50x50 mm.

To ensure the safety of package during transportation and loading and unloading of the transport packets shall be sealed longitudinally and transversely strapping each row of packages wire diameter not less than 3 mm according to GOST 3282 with the stranding of at least five turns of tape of size not less than 0,3х30 mm according to GOST 3560, the bonding ends of the castle.

The weight of packages should not exceed 1250 kg.

5.6 g. Transport marking — according to GOST 14192 with the application of manipulation sign «Protect from moisture».

5.7. Wire transporterowych by all kinds of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species. By rail — small and light shipments.
