1 Scope
This standard applies to non-insulated manganin wire of circular cross section (hereinafter, wire) used in instrument engineering and electrical engineering.
This standard specifies the dimensions, technical requirements, acceptance rules, methods of control and testing, packaging, labeling, rules of transportation and storage of the wire.

3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the terminology according to GOST 32597, as well as the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 wire: Prefabricated with a cross section of constant size, rolled into the Bay or wound into a coil, manufactured by rolling, pressing or drawing.
3.2 Bay: Cut product wound into a series of continuous turns right not mixed up in rows, with no sharp bends.
3.3 copper plating: Defect of redness areas of the blanks or semi-finished products, caused by secretion on the surface of copper.
4 Assortment
4.1 the diameter of the wire and limit deviation shall be as specified in table 1.

4.2 out-of-Roundness of the wire must not exceed the limit deviation for diameter.
4.3 Wire is delivered in Hanks, coils or on reels.

5 Technical requirements
5.1 Wire produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
The wire is made of manganin grades 3−12 Kg and Mnmag 3−12−0,3−0,3 with the chemical composition according to GOST 492.
5.2 as metal wire produced:
solid — all diameter of manganin brand Kg, 3−12;
soft — with a diameter of 0.5 mm and above of the manganin grades 3−12 Kg and Mnmag 3−12−0,3−0,3.
Wire diameter less than 0.5 mm in the soft state are made by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.
5.3 Each coil or each coil consists of a single segment wire.
5.4 the Surface of wire should be clean and smooth, free from contamination, hindering their examination, do not have cracks, captivity, holes, delaminations, pinches, nicks, scratches, and scratches. Local copper plating on the surface, bringing the wire for the limit deviations of thermoelectric characteristics, is not allowed.
Allowed individual surface defects with a maximum depth limit deviation for diameter (after Stripping control).
On the surface of the wire, intended for enameling, the local copper plating is not allowed.
5.5 Thermoelectric power (T. E. D. S.), developed by the wire in a pair with copper wire according to the technical documentation in the temperature range 0°C-100°C, should not exceed 1 mV/1°C.
5.6 electrical resistivity of the wire must match the values set out in table 2.

5.7 Electrical resistance of manganin wire (R) in Ohms depending on the temperature in the range of 10 to 40 °C is calculated by the formula

where Ris the resistance of the sample at 20 °C, Ohm;
and temperature coefficients.
The coefficients and for the annealed samples must match the values set out in table 3.

5.8 Mechanical properties of the wire shall be as specified in table 4.

5.9 the Segments of wire on a reel or on a spool put weight in accordance with Annex V.
6 acceptance Rules
6.1 Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of one method and precision manufacturing the same state, same diameter, same brand of alloy shall be furnished in one document about quality that contains:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the name of the country of manufacture;
— legal address of the manufacturer and/or seller;
— designation of wire;
— the batch number;
the weight of the party;
— test results;
— the number of seats.
The weight of the batch shall be not more than 1000 kg.
By agreement with the consumer for a wire diameter of more than 0.6 mm, the weight of the batch should not exceed 2500 kg.
