3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the terminology according to GOST 32597, as well as the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 rod: a Solid product of uniform cross section throughout its length, in the form of a circle, square, regular polygons, supplied in straight lengths or rolled in the Bay.
3.2 Bay: Cut product wound into a series of continuous turns right not mixed up in rows, with no sharp bends.
3.3 measuring length: Specific length of the product, specified in the order, straight leg, or in the Bay.
3.4 times the length: the Length of a whole multiple of the number of core length with an allowance for cutting and a tolerance on the overall length.
3.5 stress corrosion cracking: Destructive process of the joint corrosion and deformation of the metal due to residual or applied stresses.
3.6 residual tensile stress: the Stress remaining in the metal by plastic deformation.
