5 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annually issued reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly indexes published information «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in a monthly information index «National standards». Relevant information, notification and lyrics are also posted in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet
Introduction
The standards of ISO 15792 include the following parts, under the General title «Materials and welding. Test methods»:
— part 1. Test methods samples of weld metal from steel, Nickel and Nickel alloys;
— part 2. Preparation of samples for test of steel by single-pass and two-pass welding;
— part 3. Classification testing of welding materials for the welding position and the depth of penetration of the root of the fillet weld.
This part of the standard establishes test methods to objectively assess the mechanical properties of welded joints when tested welding materials for arc welding steel submerged arc and flux-cored wire, including in cases when the composition of the deposited material is not specified in the standard for welding material.
The standard does not specify norms to assess the quality of welded joints. Evaluation of results of tests performed according to the standards specified in the standards on the welding material.
1 Scope
This standard establishes requirements for the preparation, welding and testing of control welded joints for determination of the tensile strength and toughness of welded joints classification tests of welding materials by the method of single-pass and two-pass welding.
The standard used for welding materials for arc welding of steels.
2 Normative references
This standard uses the regulatory references to the following international standards:
ISO 4136:2001 destructive Tests of welded joints of metallic materials. Tensile test specimens cut across the weld (ISO 4136:2000, Destructive tests on welds in menallic* materials. Transverse tensile tests)

* Probably a mistake of the original. It should read: metallic. — Note the manufacturer’s database.
ISO 9016:2001 Destructive tests of welded joints of metallic materials. Impact test bend. The location of the specimen, placement of incision and examination (ISO 9016:2000, Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials. Impact tests. Test specimen location, notch orientation and examination)

Manual on the measurement of preheating temperature, temperature of the metal between weld passes and of the associated heating temperature (ISO 13916:1996, Welding — Guidance on the measurement of preheating temperature, interpass temperature and preheat maintenance temperature)
Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or published annually by the information sign «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year and related information published monthly indexes published in the current year. If the reference standard is replaced (changed), when using this standard should be guided by replacing (amended) standard. If the reference standard is cancelled without replacement, then the situation in which the given link applies to the extent that does not affect this link.
3 General requirements
Tests carried out on typical welding materials products manufacturer submitted for testing.
4 Material test panels
The material used for fabricating plates of the control of welded joints, shall conform to the requirements of the standard for welding material.
5 Preparation of a test weld
Plate of the control connection before welding to install or secured so that after welding to flat surface large enough for cutting test specimens. The edit control joints after welding is not allowed. Method for single-pass welding can be used or the remaining removable lining (see table 1).

6 welding conditions
Weld control connections are made in the lower position. Welding is done at room temperature or preheating, if preheating is required by the standard for welded material. The temperature between passes must meet the requirements of the standard for welding material.
The measurement of preheating temperature and a temperature between passes performed temperature-sensitive crayons, surface thermometers or thermocouples in accordance with ISO 13916.
The welding conditions (welding current, arc voltage, welding speed, the width of the cushion) must be within the range of the modes recommended by the manufacturer as standard on welding material.
7 Heat treatment
Any heat treatment required by the standard for welded material, in addition to heat treatment for removing hydrogen should be carried out on welded test compound or its parts with allowance for machining.
Heat treatment to remove hydrogen samples for tensile testing can be performed before or after final machining. The heating temperature should not exceed 250 °C and the holding time is 16 hours
8 the Location and size of test specimen
In figures 1 and 2 shows the scheme of cutting specimens for tensile tests and notched specimens for impact tests bending. Clipping of samples it is possible to produce mechanical or thermal cutting. When using thermal cutting is necessary to leave allowances for machining at least 10 mm on each side.

Figure 2 — Location of samples for testing the impact strength
Dimensions of samples for tensile testing shall conform to the sizes specified in table 2 of ISO 4136.
Test for impact strength is carried out in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9016 the samples of a type VWT 0/b. For control of welded joints of types 2.1 and 2.2 samples for testing should be placed in the midline through the thickness of the plate, for type 2.5 on the last pass, as shown in figure 2. The size of the cross section of samples should be 10x10 mm. If required test the impact strength of the control connection types 2.3 and 2.4, we use unconventional samples a cross section of 5x10 mm.
Note — Before cutting samples for testing is recommended control of welded joints subjected to radiographic and (or) micrographically control to detect possible defects in the welds.
9 Re-test
If unsatisfactory results on any kind of tests repeat tests are carried out in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
10 test Report
The report on the results of the test must include the following information:
a) the control connection and welding materials:
— type control connections and its designation;
