4 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annually issued reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly indexes published information «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in a monthly information index «National standards». Introduction
These standards of accuracy of quantitative chemical analysis of iron, steel, ferroalloys, chromium and manganese metal established on the basis of results of comparative tests with the requirements of GOST R ISO 5725−1, GOST R ISO 5725−6, GOST R ISO 50779.10* corresponds to the domestic and foreign measures of accuracy of methods of quantitative chemical analysis. The development and revision of standards of accuracy exercises closed joint-stock company «Institute of standard samples».

* Probably, the error of the original. Should read: GOST R 50779.10. — Note the manufacturer’s database.
1 Scope
This standard establishes standards of accuracy of quantitative chemical analysis of indicators of the composition of cast iron, steel, ferroalloys, chromium and manganese metal.
Standards of accuracy used in the assessment (standardization) methods of measurements, certification of standard samples, as well as the organization and conduct control of accuracy of measurement results.
This standard applies to developed and revised methods of quantitative chemical analysis designed to control the quality of products.
Standards of accuracy for the measurement procedures used in the control of technological processes can be established by metrological services of enterprises in accordance with the required accuracy.
2 Normative references
This standard uses the regulatory references to the following standards:

Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or published annually by the information sign «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year and related information published monthly indexes published in the current year. If the reference standard is replaced (changed), when using this standard should be guided by replacing (amended) standard. If the reference standard is cancelled without replacement, then the situation in which the given link applies to the extent that does not affect this link.
3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the terms are subject to GOST R ISO 5725−1, GOST R 8.563, [1]- [4], as well as the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 methods of quantitative chemical analysis; method of analysis: the Set of operations and rules, which provide the results of measurements with the set characteristics of error.
Note — the Method of analysis is a variety of measurement techniques.
3.2 the norm of accuracy: Value of accuracy rate permitted for certain purposes of analysis.
3.3 precision: the Degree of closeness to each other independent of the analysis results obtained in specific regulated conditions.
3.4 repeatability (precision): Precision under conditions in which the analysis results obtained by one method on identical samples in the same laboratory by the same analyst using the same equipment and almost at the same time.
3.5 intra-laboratory precision: intermediate precision the conditions under which the results of the analysis are getting on identical samples at a variation of all the factors shaping the variability in the application of specific techniques in the laboratory.
3.6 reproducibility: Precision under conditions in which the analysis results obtained by one method on identical samples in different laboratories by different analysts using different equipment.
3.7 measurement uncertainty: a Parameter associated with the result of a measurement and characterizes the dispersion of values that reasonably may be attributed to the measurand.
3.8 standard uncertainty : Uncertainty of measurement expressed as a standard deviation.
3.9 the expanded uncertainty : the Amount determined by the interval around the expectation of measurements covering a large fraction of distribution of values that could reasonably be attributed to the measurand.
3.10 the coverage factor : Numerical factor used as a multiplier of the standard uncertainty in the determination of the expanded uncertainty. For practical purposes, usually chosen equal to 2, which corresponds to a probability of 0.95.
3.11 the ratio of control: a Numeric value that is a criterion for the recognition of the monitored indicator of the quality of the measurement results relevant (or not relevant) requirements.
4 General provisions
4.1 this standard is used in the development and review of methods of measurement of indicators of the composition of materials of ferrous metallurgy, certification of standard samples, in assessing the state of measurements in laboratories, accreditation of laboratories, as well as in metrological control and supervision over the activities of the laboratories.
4.2 characteristics of the Assigned error of the measurements indicators of the material composition steel, obtained with the application of techniques that meet the requirements of GOST R 8.563, shall not exceed the standards of accuracy given in this standard.
5 Standards of accuracy of quantitative chemical analysis of iron, steel, ferroalloys, chromium and manganese metal
5.1 as the standards of accuracy of quantitative chemical analysis adopted accuracy rate * defined as the boundaries of the interval (), in which the error of the result of the analysis is with confidence probability of 0.95:
for chemical methods of analysis
; (1)
— for comparison (spectral) methods of analysis
, (2)
where — normalized value of the indicator of reproducibility of methods of chemical analysis (standard deviation of the test results obtained under reproducibility).
_________________
* The value corresponds to the expanded uncertainty of the measurement result with a coverage factor 2.
5.2 values of the index of reproducibility (standard uncertainty) for chemical and physico-chemical methods of the analysis are presented in Appendix A for the spectral analysis methods Appendix B to reductive methods of melting in Annex V.
5.3 the Normalized value of the indicator of intralaboratory precision for chemical and physico-chemical analysis and spectral methods , as well as normalized values of the index of repeatability (convergence) , a set of relations, respectively:
*, (3)
*, (4)
, (5)
. (6)
________________
* Based on actual data can be set to a different ratio, but not less than 0.70.
5.4 Numerical values of the interval borders of the mass fraction for which the above rules the accuracy of the analysis methods, are preferred.
