3.1 ingot: mass of crystals this way the metal melt of a certain geometric shape and mass.
3.2 inclusion: the Defect is in the form of hard foreign particles in the metal of different shapes and sizes metal or non-metallic (slag) origin.
3.3 concavity: the Deviation from flatness, in which the removal of the surface points of the cross section of the ingot from the adjacent horizontal surface increases from the edges to the middle.
3.4 Burr: Excess metal remaining on the edges of the ingot after the machining process.
3.5 the influx Defect in the form of a protrusion of solidified metal of various sizes and shapes on the surface of the ingot.
3.6 scratch: the surface defects in the form of indentations of irregular shape and an arbitrary direction, the resulting mechanical damage, including during storage and transportation.
