(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).

1.3. In Gaul are not allowed slag and other foreign matter. The gallium surface should have a metallic luster.

1A. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

1a.1. Maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of gallium oxide in the workplace air is 3 mg/mГОСТ 12797-77 Галлий технический. Технические условия (с Изменениями N 1, 2), hazard class according to GOST 12.1.007−76 — 3.

1A.2. Gallium and its compounds affect the nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, parenchymatous organs and mineral metabolism.

1A.3. The melting point of gallium 29,76 °C, the boiling point of 2205 °C. Gallium pozharovzryvobezopasnost.

1A.4. Control over the content of gallium in the air of working zone is carried out in accordance with GOST 12.1.005−88.

1A.5. Production premises should be equipped with General dilution ventilation system in accordance with GOST 12.4.021−75.

The place of unloading, packaging, packing, sampling should be equipped with local exhaust ventilation.

1A.6. Chemical analyses performed in a fume hood in accordance with the normative-technical documentation.

Sec. 1A. (Added, Rev. N 2).

2. ACCEPTANCE RULES

2.1. Gallium accept parties. The party should consist of metal, resulting from one of the dosed bottling and crystallization in a vacuum and be accompanied by a document about quality that contains:

trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

product name and code for GST;

batch number;

the net weight of the batch;

number of bars in the party;

the results of the analysis;

the date of manufacture;

stamp of technical control Department.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).

2.2. To check the chemical composition of the selected one bar from the party. Allowed the manufacturer to determine the chemical composition to carry out the sampling of liquid metal.

2.3. Quality control of gallium on the line PP.1.2 and 1.3 are subjected to every ingot.

2.4. If unsatisfactory validation results of the chemical composition of a second check on the same sample.

The results of repeated checks apply to the entire party.

2.2−2.4. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. To check the chemical composition sampling is performed on randomly selected sections of the dispensing device while dispensing metal. Samples are taken in the same conditions, which produce a metered flow and crystallization. For gallium brand GL-1 allowed sampling of the entire mass of liquid metal PTFE sampler for flood of metal. During the flood of metal from each party select two samples.

The weight of one sample should be not less than 10 g.

Each sample was placed in double bags, made from polyethylene film according to GOST 10354−82. The packages are sealed.

Before the production of packages for gallium brand GL-0 film is wiped with a gauze pad according to GOST 11109−90 with ethyl alcohol according to GOST 5962−67*.
________________
* On the territory of the Russian Federation GOST R 51652−2000. Here and hereinafter. — Note the manufacturer’s database.
Between the layers of the package, put the label that indicates the date of sampling, batch number, stamp of the technical control, or a personal stamp.

One sample transfer for analysis, the second stored at the factory for six months.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

3.2. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).

3.3. Analysis of gallium is carried out according to GOST 13637.0−93 — GOST 13637.9−93.

On the manufacturer is allowed to conduct analyses by other methods, accuracy is not inferior to the specified standards.

3.4. The weight of ingots of gallium is carried out according to normative-technical documentation (NTD).

3.5. The surface quality is checked visually without the use of magnifying devices.

3.4, 3.5. (Added, Rev. N 1).

4. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

4.1. Each ingot of gallium is Packed in a plastic bag. Bars one party put in a double plastic bag. Packaging bags sealed.

Violation of the package is not allowed.

The package prepared from a polyethylene film according to GOST 10354−82. Before the production of packages for packaging metal brand GL-0 film is rubbed with ethyl alcohol according to GOST 5962−67.

Between the layers of the package put the packing list in which you specify:

the name and brand of metal;

batch number;

number of bars in a package.

a lot of packages in kilograms;

the date of packaging;

the name of the packer.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

4.2. Ingots of gallium, Packed in a plastic bag, wrapped in tracing paper for technical documentation and is placed in a wooden box according to GOST 2991−85 type I or II-1, II-2. Boxes inside spread cotton wool on NTD.

The gross mass of the box should be no more than 20 kg.
