(Changed edition, Rev. N 5).

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Selenium take parties. The party should consist of Selena, one brand, one type and decorated by one document on quality.

The document about quality should contain:

is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

— brand selenium;

— the batch number;

— the weight of the batch;

— number of places;

— the result of the analysis;

— date of issue;

— the designation of this standard.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

3.2. To determine the chemical composition of the granulated selenium in selected samples from each packaging unit of the party, if there are less than twenty. In the presence of the party for more than twenty packaging units samples are taken from each second of the packaging units.

To determine the chemical composition of selenium in the bars take 10% of the ingots from each batch.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).

3.3. To check the quality of powdery selenium requirements of this standard from the party taking the sample according to table.3.

Table 3

3.4. In selenium, derived from products of copper and Nickel production, the content of lead, arsenic and mercury monitored in each of the 30th party.

3.4. Mass fraction of aluminum determined in each batch.

(Added, Rev. N 2).

3.5. The inspection for inclusions and lumps are subjected to each batch.

3.6. If unsatisfactory results of the analysis at least one indicator thereon, a second test at twice the sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1.Sampling and sample preparation

4.1.1. Spot samples from granular selenium taken by a mechanical sampler or manually robotbrain probe. Each packaging unit selected at the two spot samples. Spot samples are combined. The mass of the joint sample shall not exceed 0.5% of the batch weight. Spot samples taken from bars by drilling through at three points evenly spaced on the diagonal plane of the ingot, or chipping pieces of selenium from different parts of the ingot. Sampling from powdered selenium is carried out according to GOST 23148−98.

The manufacturer is allowed to conduct sampling from the batch of powdered selenium before packaging into packaging units, the number of point samples and the mass of the combined samples should correspond to GOST 23148−98.

The manufacturer is allowed to conduct sampling from the liquid metal before the granulation of selenium in the beginning, middle and end of filling.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).

4.1.2. Spot samples are combined, thoroughly mixed, reduce kvantovanie or grooved divider to the mass of 1 kg, crushed and sieved through a sieve with mesh 1 or 1K according to GOST 6613−86. The sieved sample is mixed again, cutting at least 200 g, crushed and sieved through a sieve with a mesh 016К or 016 to GOST 6613−86, divide into parts, one of which was sent for analysis and the other stored in tightly closed cans or in sealed plastic bags, sealed, for 6 months in case of disagreements in quality assessment.
